This is really starting to tick me off. A few weeks ago when my game was loading the continent to begin the game the screen came up with a connection problem. It never reconnected and I had to leave. I retried but the same thing happened. The next day I tried again and I got in. This has happened two times since then and now it won't stop. This is the fourth day in a row that I keeps dropping the connection right when the loading bar fills up. Does anyone know what I can possibly do? I've got more than one phone line and I'm on a Satellite internet connection. My internet works fine too (obviously since this an internet site)

Clarify a few things so we can get a good picture of your environment.

Computer A - Has planetside on it --> connects directly to Satellite connection?

1). What is the rate you get on the phone Line? 56 Kbps?
2). Is there any interference that you know occuring as of lately? Sunspots or lots of Storms occuring?

My question is how long have you had this system? Have you had it for 1 year, and played planetside for 8 months and this is the first time it has happened?

A few things you can try is to mess with the bandwidth settings in planetside, and also to mess with the MTU size of your modem to the satelite connection.

You can also call your Satellite provider and ask if anything has happened lately to change the service or if they are having connectivity issues?

Also where do you live, US? UK?

Interesting setup, so you have 2 modems for upload and satalite for Download?

Shotgun technology baby, the way of the future, everyone through Diamond Multi-media company was crazy when they put this idea out there.

Poor Diamond, man they made the best 3dfx generation one and 2 cards, the Monster, i wish S3 never bought them out.

Easy fix. Just messed with the bandwith settings and fixed it immediately. Can't believe I didn't see it before. Thanks

I get it aswell, when i load up a cont (not sanc, works ok there), after that, its ok. But every time i shutdown my computer, it happens. All i do is wait for it to happen and it will come up with the "lost conection, trying to reconect", tnen 30s later, it comes up with you have left the world, press "enter" and it will load up server silection page, press enter and chouse your character, it will never happen again untill you shutdown your computer.

Yeah, a couple months back there was a whole lot of solar activity, and I heard it was really messing up some people's satellite connections.

AbramsVS - you are (bumping) posting in 6 month to year old threads - most of those topics are probably not relative to the current conditions and situations. Suggest if you want to talk about these issues as they exist today, start a new thread rather than posting the those that are mad old.
Thanks
