Hello,

I'm going to be filming a 3 part trilogy called "A Single Squadron". It is going to be a long 30-40 minute epic journey of a band of New Conglomerate soldiers fighting their way across the theaters of Auraxis. It will harvest the true essence of PlanetSide's ability to create films and will include rich dialogue, something that hasn't been seen yet in a gaming movie. The battle scenes will range from 100-man scale Infantry Wars, to road-side tank brawls, and to covert operations in the Sea, Air, and Ground.

If you're interested in being a part of this production please email [email protected]

Make sure you email and do not just reply to this message.

Thanks,
Delta

Are you going to post it here when you're done? It'd be awfully big... how long would it be to download?...

Thank you to all of you who expressed your interest.
You PSU'ers will be of the first to see it.

The file will be put into 3 parts that are about 10 minutes long each and will have staggered release dates. Each part will also have its own 2 minute preview.

As SilverLord said, I will make sure to host it on a fast, or dedicated, server to download.

Because of all of the response I received via emai and PM I cannot respond to you all. But I DID RECEIVE YOUR MESSAGE. Everyone who expressed interest will be emailed further information within the upcoming weeks. But please note that this film is still in the preliminary stages.

Wait... this movie is about NC fighting? That's it? What is this 'rich' dialogue going to be, voice macros? Because in a war, they pretty much sum it up.

Covert operations in the sea? Um.. how? People standing on Deliverers?

Oh, good luck getting 100 people organized. Unless you conscript every member of a zerg outfit, it's going to be hell with even half that many. (Speaking from experience here)

Forgive me if I sound critical, but I've seen people come and go, all promising an 'epic' movie using Planetside. They all fizzled out before they even began.

Hey, I worked with Malvision, I know what it's like trying to corral 50 people. I'm not negative and impatient, I am experienced and therefore skeptical.

Animation or ingame experience :confused:Malvision makes movies from games like PS.

Miir is done with PS though because...WoW is coming out. He gave PS films over to Malvision Films which is run by i dunno who now...

Ingame experience. Trust me, even dealing with only a platoon's worth of people isn't easy in a film setting. It's like herding cats.

The animation was all done by Miir, and by the time he was done with the 8 minute clip that was episode 1, he was ready for a break.
