Me and a buddy were thinking about the most idiotic name for a sports team franchise proffesional or amateur. I still think that the Anaheim Mighty Ducks tops it all, but id like some suggestions.

There is a high school team in southern Arizona named the Criminals. There is a community college here that had a name the team contest in the 70s. The student body chose "The Flaming Artichokes". They've since dropped the flaming part, and are just the Artichokes. On the wall inside the locker room in huge letters it says "Go Chokes". I'm totally serious.

What I say will be true. I go to Freeport High School. We are the Freeport Pretzels. Our Junior High is the Freeport Junior High Shamrocks. The high school was on the news one time when Bush choked on a pretzel, NBC interviewed a couple students.
