I'd be there, if my computer wasn't totally FUBAR. :( I really wish I was able to participate this time, given that I missed the last one because I didn't know there was a playtest until after it was over. Oh well, guess I gotta check here more often.

I don't believe they give it to you. I don't have it and I just created my test server player on the last patch. At least I don't think I have it. I haven't been on in a while, got to the last patch late and didn't get to mess around much.

Also anyone know why the copy of the PS folder would stop. I have two PC's my girl plays on the second. I was able to, on my uber machine, copy and move the folder with no trouble. I told her how to do it. Was working then about 3/4 of the way through the copy it locked up. Maybe memory, but her hard drive is almost empty I think. I have to check on that, we just put micro-office on there, the full version. Speaking of which if you don't have a burnt copy grab a student teacher edition, is the same thing.

But I'm going to get on Play test tonight I think. I will have to talk to my girl(since she can't get there and all). I will be late but I will be there. Prepare to die at the hands of the NC.

At the end of the playtest everyone goes to the SOI of a specific base and are offered like 30 5k "caps." The devs pretty much just change the base's ownership to each empire.

I couldn't make it unfortunately, I was at work :mad:

Was a great time (according to the CSRs, it was the largest turnout for a playtest they have seen). They gave us all br20 for starting out. Lag was pretty intense for some of the battles. I don't think the capitols are going to be a major change in ps warfare, just change the way you take bases. Now the broadcast warpgates were sweet. I warped from Sanctuary straight to searhus! These are going to have a big impact on gameplay, since if you push the enemy back to their sanc warpgate, they can no longer warp into that continent from their sanctuary (unless they have locked continents that share other warpgates). Would love to have tested that feature. Now if they only get rid of the hart :)

Very good playtest. It was easily the biggest playtest yet and they also said that they weren't giving out XP fountiains if I understood right anymore so they told the SLs to share the XP with the squad members. That means no more easy CR5 for you guys :D. Anyway

The capitals were really good. At first I hated the idea but, it's really good once I saw it in-game but I want to see how it plays when it's no an organized battle.

They are shooting for early next week providing they don't run into a major problem.
