i have brought this idea up before but i have re thought it,

i really wanted to see bullet holes in body armour and maxes but this would be quite a strain on fps secound, even if it was easy on and off able.

but how about around 5 differnet armour degeneration modes,, meaning at :

100% armour, you look how we always do now, all shiney.

75% armour, you look a bit dented with a few bullet holes,

50% more dents and bullet holes maybe a chunk of armour missing,

25% you look a bit of a mess, broken bits on armour, bullet holes and wounds showing

05% this one could be how you look when your dead but appears just before so you would look like you just survied by the skin of your teeth.

no real reason for this just that it would look good.

I'll take decent performance over minor cosmetic improvements any day. All we need in terms of armor status is a bar so engs can tell who need repairs and who doesn't.

If you think about it though, your're quintupling the number of infanty models in the game, and for cosmetic appearances. I argree it would be kinda neat, but until they get the current FPS issues under control I can't imagine adding to them for the sake of appearances.

And yes, not being able to see the armor level of allies is and has always been "teh ghey".

that would mean 6x new models to implement dents.
i agree with elf for armor levels: i think they should split the current health bar in half, have lower for armor values.

Yep, cosmetics and stuff are cool and all, but thye're far less important than new content and equalizing Empires. I do iwhs, however, that they'd spent more time on capital cosmetics :( .
