So if you could have and/or fly any present-day airplane, what would you choose? It can be of any nationality and of any function (military or commercial). You can name helicopters, if you wish.
For me, it would have to be the Saab Viggen (http://www.swissjet.ch/1024/Zeltweg/Jets/000702Viggen.jpg). Fast, powerful, and with cool looks.
Runnerup would have to be the A-10.

I'd tell you that it's not finished, but neither is the Super Hornet, so...never mind.

I wouldn't, because I'd crash the damn thing. Now give me a TIE Defender and the nice open vaccum of space, then sure :p
Although actually I'd take a Muurian Trasport and pimp it out to Millenium Falcon grade pimpness.

Hmm... It depends... but I'd say a Stuka Dive Bomber... or and Imperial Assualt Gunboat so as to kill Elf's Muurian Transport. (lets face it... the Tie defender is just too good to take on...)

p-51 mustang, or a UH-60 Black Hawk.
SU-32 that's gotta be the most bad-ass looking plane out there. Plus it's got the ability to pull the trademark Sukhoi Cobra strike manuever.

Anything that's fast. Very fast. The fastest possible. The faster, the better. Or one of those things that drop the MOAB in command and conquer generals (think it's a B-2)
Or a A-10 tank killer. Those are cool.

For speed, try this:

Mach 6.72 :D Fastest plane in the world, although it's because it's mainly a large rocket with wings that has to be dropped (as you can see from the pic) from a B-52.

You can have your Imperial assault gunboats and your Tie Defenders. Gimme my Tie Interceptor and I'll pwn each and every one of you.
Could the Death star be considered an Aircraft? If so, I'm calling dibs on that.
Death Star for the win......YES!
Ok, back down to earth.
A-10, F4-U Corsair, F-23 (Yes, I know. I'll take the test model tyvm.)

or a Missle boat, Tie Defenders are nice too, or a Tie Advanced drool:

Others have said it, but I will reiterate:
The A-10 Warthog. A-10 wings fly over my house all the time, and I must say that anything that can fly with 60% or less of its wings blown off and fire a Vulcan cannon is one mean piece of aircraft.
Other than that, a Buckeye. It's a parachute with a strap-on propeller that lets one human fly around for a while free as a bird. The beauty is, if the engine fails, you ditch it and take the parachute down. What fun.

A Boeing 777 - lucky for me, I will have the honor of flying them on a daily basis someday :)
I'd also love to fly a P-51 Mustang, just once. This past weekend I had the priviledge of seeing one in someone's hangar garage (it was their garage, but it was a hangar - imagine the wealth) - the thing is massive. I was offered the opportunity to get in the cockpit, but my tiny legs weren't long enough to hoist me up, but Bliz the Giantism Lumberjack got in and many pictures were taken.
