Question... how ill one know where the action is ... im sorry if its been disscussed but i want to know. i mean will it be on the map or will it be word of mouth or a messege..

We'll be giving you indicators to show you where the top 10 battles on a continent are being fought. There's a minimum threshhold for what constitutes a "fight", so if there are fewer than 10 such fights on a continent, we'll show fewer.
This helps guide people toward where the action is and takes a bit of burden off of the macro-job for Commanders (encouraging people to go to where the big fights are) and allows them to focus on various Platoons and strategies on a continent.

(If you're worried about an Empire somehow getting "magical" knowledge about where the fights are, then just assume that some numbskull actually remembered how to use a radio and called it in...or a satellite caught the action and beamed the info down...or whatever.)

Commanders can also intentionally avoid hot spots, if they so desire...but just because you're going to a non-hot spot doesn't mean there aren't enemy troops there...

Hmm, so will this be shown by a map, or simply telling us by text?

hmm, anybody know if this would only show fights where your own faction is involved, or all fights?

I wonder if this info is going to be available outside the game? For example on the Sony statistic web page? That would be nice.

they said they're gonna have some system ala DAoC but whit more things to check, so it's possible i bet to write a xtml page and get a buttload of info from a server to your outfits webpage or whatever page you feel like.

i hope it shows a big fight that your empire is a part of and not just the other 2. that would suck if you HART dropped into the middle and 0 friendlies around
