Anyone play it? I do sometimes, I made a module, an arena, and I host a server sometimes.

No game should have as much reading in it as that game does. There is literally the equivilent of a full length novel built into that game. BOOOOORRRing.

If I'm going to play a game I want death, destruction, mayhem, and maybe a little chaos. But none of that reading crap for me. :D

Heh, the single player thing sucks on NWN , but multiplayer is fun,

The campaign for HoTU is so much different than the others. It's not just a bunch of linear crap, you can choose whether you betray the Seer, or betray the Valsharess. Very different and a lot more fun. Besides, BoW is the best PvP server in the world. Play it if you have all 3 Dhark.

Frankly, I love the essence of NWN to death.

The fact is, though, it needs a sequel.

Games that let you build are the future, and I plan to be there, just as I was when MUDs were new and levelling your d00d in a text environment was the only way to show your skills.

I bought NWN.

But, BioWare's product didnt support the latest Catalyst drivers for my radeon 7500.

So, I could never get past the first level, which is why Morrowind > *

I'm all for a game that has a manual that makes the Bible look like a pamphlet.

How else can I impose my pedantic qualities upon the ranks of the ADD?

Long live the arcane! I am your willing slave!

Hahah, foolish mortal. While you are caught within the bounds of the weave, I smite foes with my divine power, but alas, I have no deity, so who is giving me my power? It is I, for I am a GOD!

(For those that dont know, clerics dont even need to have a diety in NWN, and dont have domain restrictions)

I played it about....a year ago.. Sucked. It isn't a game, it's a novel with graphics.

A whole lot of graphics... and death... If you somehow missed it by running through the entire game with sanctuary, you should try it again. Also, with HoTU, the level cap is extended up to level 40, and that makes for some pretty harsh death. You can also find some pretty fun hack n slash modules too.

Although Morrowind does have hundreds of books in it, some of which can be quite long.

I still am playing NWN off and on, i just got back into it when HoTU came out, and it is indeed, an ass kicking expansion.

Quick questions for anyone who knows.

Is the first expansion shadows of unrentide really meant to be played with the same characters as the original?? As i cannot tell at all, some parts were REALLY easy, and some parts were quite challenging. and also crappy and short as hell?

In HoTU any tips for wizards, as i am getting my ass handed to me hardcore. i play it multiplayer with a guy who has a fighter/dragon disciple and he rarely ever dies. But i am getting taken to school in a Bentley.

And yeh yeh yeh, ban and all that, but maybe someone can answer?

SoU is ment to be done with a new char....

Wizards in the HoTU campaign get boned a lot. You need good fighter henchmen (Deekin may possibly come in handy, but Daelen + the tiefling is a much better combination for a caster).

When I went through the campaign I thought I had done everything possible... apparently not. There is a lot of hidden crap in HoTU, go to the forums and look it up if you can't find it all after 2-3 times through (Mephistopheles is really easy if you know his name *hint*).

You think NWN is a "novel with graphics"......wow. NWN is hack and slash DnD. You run around and hit things. It's like Dialbo 2 with a plot, because you know, Dibalo 2 didn't have one (no a few cutscenes inbetween stage types doesn't count as "plot").

Tell me, what's it like to have the attention span of a gnat? I'd say go try Morrowind, but that game might make your brain explode :(

Dungeon seige was too mindless hack n slash, not enough towns, and was waay to linear. It felt like "OK, now you have to leave the town to go through a series of multiple dungeons to get to the next town, then rinse, and repeat.

Ah, but here's the thing. Morrowind you can beat in an hour or two. The main quest is so cheezily lame and stupid, it's the sidequests that make people think it's impossible.

Lately ive just been DLing modules and playing them with people IRL LAN style. Thats always fun plus you can coordinate better. Any recomendations from anyone who has played really good modules?

User made senarios. Like a custom map in a RTS.

edit: btw, the best modules can be found on the official website.

My module > Yuo

I suck at scripting though, badly, so it's only got basic things (Sitting in chairs, gold and XP generators, items, ect.) and it's an arena module.

Rayder

Arabell is a crazy full RPG mod.

BastionsOfWar servers don't have modules, they just have changed stuff like spells and saves and whatnot. They're PvP servers, one for levels 20+ and one for 15-25.
