I agree with Hamma, Kane definitely wins. He was actally sure that he was bringing upon a new era of peace to the world, which makes him so much more evil, as it seems he is insane. Plus all the wierd sci-fi stuff with the tiberium, and Cabal.

Kane is also one of the best bad guys, and a version of him comes back in Red Alert at the end, after the other two are dead (Soviet campaign)

Kane was a good bad guy as well, i just love that, i think it was mission 5, where that guy was trying to get you to attack america, and kane walked over and put a cap in his head, that fuckin freaked me out the first time.

Liquid( MGS/MGS:TTS - Evil twin? Check. Plans for global Domination? Check. Nuclear weapon? Check. Giant walking deathmobile? Check.)

Solidus(MGS2 - What a complete badass. He's like sean connery as a Ninja.)

The Ninja (MGS:TTS - He wasnt nearly cool enough in the original. He need that Kitamura "oomph." Play the game to find out.)

Main Character (Morrowind - Wanna slaughter an entire village in cold blood? Go ahead. Can you do it in style? Sure can.)

Sephiroth (FF7, enough said.)

Revolver Ocelot(MGS/MGS2 - Hes a russian Cowboy. w00t.)

Psycho Mantis (MGS/MGS:TTS - One of the coolest characters...Ever.)

Yeah, Kane is a pretty slick villian.

I'd have to say my favorite bad guy was the Ghost/Zombie Pirate LeChuck from the Monkey Island series. His plans for conquering the Carribean were so inept and ridiculous, it's hard not to like him. Of course, my favorite good guy would have to be Guybrush Threepwood: the pirate who, while not be particularly adept at anything, still manages to foil LeChuck's plans with equal ineptness and ridicule.

I'm also a fan of Diablo. I mean, he was so bad he managed to get kicked out of Hell. Gotta have respect for that...

Good point but I always thought Id was kick ass bad guy. (in a cool way) Kerelian was the bad guy in the sick and twisted wipe out your whole race kinda of bad guy. Kinda reminds me of Hitler.
