but not directly after the base, dude, the bases were all named after gods and goddesses and other mythical crap.

everay is correct and it even says what they named it after...
The object -- about 8 billion miles (12.8 billion kilometers) from Earth -- has been given the provisional name of Sedna, after the Inuit goddess who created sea creatures of the Arctic.

Inuit goddess. Also note the complete lack of Aztec mythological bases in PlanetSide. However, I think it's because Huitzilopochtli Tech Plant doesn't sound right.
