In case you missed the news (which was kind of buried by the release of the capitol building patch), my sniper guide for PlanetSide has been officially released.

You can either download it from the PSU download section in .PDF Format (http://www.planetside-universe.com/files/index.php?file=116)

Or you can view it from Electrofreak's Sniper Guide Website (http://www.geocities.com/electr0freak)

Let me know what you think! I put a LOT of time and effort into it and I hope you will find it useful. I will most likely be adding a submitted tips section some time in the future which will contain tips submitted by experienced snipers. If you have a tip which you didn't see in my guide, email me at [email protected].

Hope you enjoy, and happy sniping!

Irrationalities rationalize the rational rationings of my rations.

Goodie! I'm semi-new to sniping and will be glad to read. I had sniping about two months ago, got one kill. It was a cloaker at 367m, running. I was gald, and dropped sniping the next day. Picking it up soon.

Nice job. Of particular interest was the tips for individual building types.

Thanks guys! A lot of people have submitted tips to me in areas that I'm lacking. I'll be compiling these tips and releasing them later some time so feel free to throw any tips of your own out onto the thread. I'm sure I didn't cover everything!

I'd throw in that the Harasser is a good sniper vehicle. It is radar invisable, and has sufficient trunk room for a lot of extra bolts for the bolt driver. Great for carrying a sniper team.

Good tip Earlydawn, I'll add it to the list! And... Peacemaker, please dont say things like that you had me scared for a second! :p

They will have to pry the Bolt Driver from my cold dead hands to nerf it!

And thanks for the guide Electro. For some reason, I forgot sniping to further my cloaking abilities. This guide persuaded me to pull my beloved rifle of the shelf and get back into the game.

Great job!

Yeah I kinda figured that you were a sniper at heart. I just had this... I dunno... feeling. Perhaps I was somehow influenced by the huge Bolt Driver in your sig. :p

Edit: Earlydawn, you arent the only person that has mentioned vehicles. Perhaps I will put in a transport section too some time. I've always loved the Skeeter due to its small profile, invisibility when parked, and high speed for getaways. However, the Harasser seems an excellent choice too.

Another sniper told me that he places mines around his position when aircraft are around so that they take damage when they come in for a strafing run. Blacktea also mentioned some interesting stuff in his guide that I would never have thought of. Really cool, I love it when people share their little tips and tricks! Sometimes you will be like "Wow, thats a good idea! Now why in hell didn't I think of that?!"

This thread should be a sticky.
