Desktop-1024x768 (until I get around to upgrading my monitor size)
PS-1024x768, and I still get rather crappy frames/sec
Nearly everything else-1600x1200, usually with 80+ fps

This laptop:

Desktop - 1920x1200
PlanetSide - 800x600 windowed mode.

Usually use my new monitor instead with my laptop. Then it is, 1280x1024 Desktop, and 800x600 windowed mode in PlanetSide.

With my new computer, which I've had problems with, I will play in 1280x1024. Which will also be the desktop res.

Well I guess I'm stuck using 1280x1024 with my desktop now.

I'd make it bigger, but it messes with my rent's account's res too, and they cant stand the smallness of text.

It's probably a 16:9 screen. A lot of laptops are going that way now.

I'm not supposed to mention it, but what the hell.

I use Meta-Resolution Trans-Liquid HyperCrystal.

Basically, the number of pixels per square inch is controlled by the processor (which I really can't talk about), and ranges from 600,000 to about seventy million. The voltage requirements are pretty severe, about 1300 at peak, but the average house can handle this no problem.

The result is more resolution than the rhodopsyn in your own biological eye, and can cause seizures unless you make sure you're not vitamin deficient. I take a supplement that corrects for this.

Let's just say it's awesome. Expect it on the common market around 2011.

 Then I'm sure you would be able to take a picture of it? Oh, what's that? Your Digital camera is broken/lost/you don't have one? Awww... That's too bad.

ZeusCali
2004-03-16, 01:08 PM
it's pointless to have resolution past what the human eye can see.... wait, which planet are you on

Veteran
2004-03-16, 01:40 PM
Based on today's thinking, it is pointless to have resolution past the capacity of the human eye.

The thing is, though, Ocular-Replacement Therapy is about three years away, and basically involves removing your natural eyes and replacing them with a Transitory-State Suspended-Solid sphere that acts as a capture device that transmits nerve signals to your visual cortex about twelve million times faster than your biological eyes.

The result is that you can see moons of planets orbiting distant stars or the individual cells of the cleavage of supermodels.

The future is bright, gentlemen. Two eyes will always be enough.

As for my digital camera, it's in the shop.

You're the man, Dhark. Whenever it takes a galley, a heavy nutsack or a uranium saber, you're right there, ready to sail the high seas of ownage.

I'd take a picture of you, but my camera is still in the shop.

Just an interesting thing, I was looking at site statistics for website today (www.geocities.com/electr0freak) and found some interesting info.

800x600 8.44%
1600x1200 0.70%

Color Depth:

16 bits 1.98%

Web Browser:
MSIE 6.0 93.52%
Mozilla/1.6 5.81%
MSIE 5.01 0.67%

Operating System:

STFU. I don't feel like spending money to host my material. Besides, PSU already hosts the .pdf. Also, Dharkbayne, as I recall, when you tried to host my guide it wouldn't work because your ftp doesn't like subdirectories. My Geocities site handles images in subdirectories just fine :p
