Your first PS Death

Who can remember the first time you died in PS Ever. How did you die?
My first death was when i had just harted somewhere and i landed on a road. right in front of a speeding enemy ams. the results =not pretty

Stepped out of the spawn room on Sanc, and promply got run over by a Gal!

I HARTed to Hossin somewhere at a tower battle, and when I dropped I looked around and there was a lot of action at the tower I was near, so with my n00b knowledge about the game at the time, I headed straight there with my Beamer. Guy with a Jackhammer was running around raising hell, I landed a few shots on him when he served my ass to me.

HART'ed onto Hossin, in the middle of nowhere, and saw an NC harasser. I loaded my suppressor with AP Bullets, and started shooting. An NC Guy with a JH kills me.

I dropped onto ceryshen because it looked interesting, there wasn't any fighting going on and being a newb I was wandering around looking for a fight without using the map (hehe) I was getting angry thinking that this was a massivley multiplayer game and there wasnt anyone here when I stepped off a cliff and fell into a lake and drowned :rolleyes:

first death ever: HART dropped onto Forseral by a base that was being hacked by VS. me, being NC and a n00b, i ran in with Agile and a Phoenix and tried to take out a Magrider as my first kill. i didn't know how much damage those puppies could take so just kept shooting. I got lashed in the back by a VS in rexo while i was in camera mode. first deaht EVAR.

I miss the old /suicide command. :( Damn could you move fast with that thing...just get closer to a base or tower, /suicide and save tons of time. Probably why it was taken out though.

Heh, compared to you guys, my first death is going to sound boring. I headed out to Solsar with a pickup group I found in sanc, and died to an NC gauss user while firing my cycler out from between some rocks. :cool:

I thought my punisher with the 1 shot/reload rockets was the uber and tried to take a TR Dual Cycler, ended being splattered against the wall.

My first death? I squaded with a full set of ten, in a Sunderer. They hacked a tower while I never did much, then a vanguard took out our Sunderer on our travels, and everybpdy jumped out but me! :lol:

Took me a while to remember it but.... I logged in and got some certs, including mosquito. Was flying around some bases on.... must have been Ishunder... and ran into a reaver. I tried to outrun him using pure speed (believing the mosquito was the fastest thing in the world compared to a gunship). Found out how good 20mm was againts mosquitos.

Solsar it was, on my 7-day trial. Got out my Lancer and was all "Time to kick some serious ass." Vanguard came out of a base and I hid. After it was gone, walked to the entrances, saw a couple spitfires and proceeded to rape them. Didn't see the mine as I was in the process of shooting... killed the spit however.

I just got the game and ran out in my infil suit to a battle going on right outside warpgrate at the oshur tower. I cloaked and snuck up to a door then crashed to the desk top. I come back and run from the sanc back to the tower and manage to sneak in this time. I meet a scattercannon with darklight guarding the Control console.

Mine was stupid as all hell. I was walking around Esamir, I think. I remember it was snow-covered (I love snow) so I think it was Esamir. Anyways, I was waltzing around a friendly tower when all of a sudden I hear this low hum. I think "Wonder what that is?" Then footsteps. I whirl around and the steps stop, but nothing in sight. I still hear the hum. Thinking it was something wrong with my pc, I continue walking around when all of a sudden WHAM, a cloaker knifes me in the back. As I'm laying there he uncloaked and promptly taunted me with a "You call yourself a soldier?" I've hated the Vanu ever since.

my first case of being stupid (and trust me not the last...) was oddly enough my first ps death. I create a new char and climb in a DC max thinking" hmm... two guns are better than one!" (Sadly mistaken) I hart into god know's where (actually I just can't remember :ugh: ) and realize "hey theres an auto run on this thing...SWEET!" So I start fartin around with it and wanted to see how long it lasts if I just leave it. I turn it on and sit back. The ground just .....stopped. As I'm falling I'm frantically pressing f1 for my medkits. As if a miracle had occured I lived with about 25 health left. (no armor..) So I think I've just cheated death. (virtual anyway) I'm so proud of myself (looking back now I don't know why!) I tell my friend to come up to my room so he could see me do it again. (because free falling mechs are always cool) Weee splat.... :huh:

On Johari my very first character was VS... I trained in VR to BR4 and then ventured out in the world by selecting instant action... I then got killed 7-9 times in a row by 3 TR MCG Rexo tower spawn campers.

i think it was at ish i was walking around because being the noob that i was didnt know how to get a vehicle and a dude driving a harasser, said "to get in", so i did and a reaver blowed the shit out of us.

i was on Ishundar, Girru. i had just come from Sanc, and, at the time didnt know where the heck i was - it was an adventure getting there because a Gal pilot happened to be transporting people from Sanc to wherever. i think his name was Galaxypilot9 or something...
anyways, im not sure how i got on the ground since this was last year around June/July, i came out of the tower with Agile armor, Suppressor, and grenades. i didnt know how to get other certs n stuff :P so im rushing up the hill with about 20 other VS (which at the time i thought was AMAZING since this was my firt MMOFPS id ever played). so, i get up the hill, i see some enemies, toss a nade, and only to realize i had hit friendlies instead! then i rush inside the base only to die because of a Cycler i think it was. was the most awsome battle i have ever been in..because it was my first.

Went through VR training, then grabbed the pounder cert and instant actioned to Ceryshen. Ran out into the middle of the road, saw a skeeter and started shooting. First off, I had no clue of the drop on Pounder MAX's shoots. Secondly, I failed to acknowledge the 3 enemy reavers behind me. Ouch.

During beta. First firefight I got in. I had a gauss rifle (i picked NC initially thankfully i blamed my suckiness on the weapon) and I had yet to figure out that I could sidestep (my first ever online FPS). I kept running around in circles and finally got owned. I promptly quit NC and joined VS.

First day playing, i get a /tell from a friend telling me to use the shuttle and drop near a base on Ish. I get there and it's incredible, at least 40 NC guys running from a tower to the base like normandy or something. Like any noob, i followed. Everywhere guys where dropping like flys around me, but i kept running, firing my gauss and screaming like a 6 year old girl through team speak. Bam, i take one down, blam another, and another. I'm feeling like hot shit now. Finally, i see a guy run from the door straight to the vehicle spawns; outta ammo, i pull out my mag cutter. I get closer, and closer till i spot a magrider in the corner of my eye and it was "heading right for us". In a desparate attempt to inflict damage i tried to stab it. Magrider= 1 Magcutter= -1

Later i got a tell from my friend saying " I know you didn't do what i think i saw you do".

I walked a long long time in some "moutains" :) and saw a MAX. I shot at him but he didn't die. He saw me, shot 1 time and I was dead :rofl:

June 2003, I crashed a galaxy trying to land it in VR, first real death in the field was to a VS Qausar max on Isundar, my punny cycler with AP rounds could not compare.
