I need help. I'm going to buy a second hand 50cc moped of a friend, and save up for a 125cc motor bike (3 months untill i'm 17), but I dont know what to offer for it.

He brought it for 1,300
Its 1.5 years old
50cc
Clocked over 10440 miles
No crashes
New back tire
Sport exhorst
Lights fade slowly if not used (i.e. revving)
Reeves slow down when not in use

But hes replacing a front sidelight (indercator) and kick started.

He says hell sell it for 800 - 1000, but I think that it's too much.

Need help.

Every one say you should save up for a car, but i'm intrested in motor bikes more.

What price should I offer?

how old are you?Just save for a car, trust me you will feel stupid riding a moped around 15-16 cause everyone else will have cars.I wanted one for awhile but decided to save that money for a car and am sooo happy I did

my uncle has a Suzuki GSK 1300R and I've driven it a few times. fun as hell, even if you dont go that fast. it has a top speed of 190 MPH, but at speeds like that I'd be worried about going airborne.

Wait till your older to get a motorcycle. I drive a tow truck and have seen to many kids get killed in the first week they have the motorcycle. Because they thought they could speed and didn't know how to control it yet.

a bike is hard as fuck to control over about 80 or 90, it starts trying to lift in the front, scaryest thing ever when ur not expecting it

I was interested in mopeds when my friend had one and I always got to ride it and I kept searching for one to get but by the time I got the money I was 15 and decided to save it for a car.Your wanting one will soon change.Plus you cant even ride them anywhere where speed limits aboive 35 so theres really no point

In good old England, you need to be over 16 for motor bikes (50cc +) + you need to take a CBT (Compolsary Basic training) what will teach you how to use the bike, and to drive a car, you need to be 18. But i'm saving for a 125cc + (aiming to get a full lisence at 21), so i'm getting a second hand 50cc to training, + 1/2 hours, 3 miles, up hills home from school is boring and slow.
