I've always hated EB Games. First of all the prices are a bit high compared to other stores such as Game Stop. The prices also stay more expensive longer. Another reason is the people that work there are n00bs. They don't know anything about games at all. One of them also kicked me out of the store because i accidentally knocked a game off a shelf. The final thing that really made me thing EB Games is evil is that on one of the shelves, there was a Geforce 3 Ti 500 for sale. The price was $299.99. That is the biggest fucking ripoff I have ever seen. My card is 10x as good as that card and I got it for $150. This proves that EB Games is out there to steall money. I will never again walk into an EB Games store. Well atleast the one in the mall nearby.

Gamestop is the shiznit. Its nice to go there, because they don't overprice everything. The people there are cool. They actually play games. Some even play PS, so when I go there, there's someone to talk to. They're just nice people.

I buy most of my games at Gamestop, the only thing that wasn't bought there was the PS2 cause my Dad reserved it from EB Games

There's no EB here, however, I do think there might be a Gamestop somewhere in Fairlane. Best Buy and CompUSA are my best choices.

Bah, I dont mind EB games.
I bought BF:V from them. (Pre-order)
I got it monday (the day before the game came out), when I should have recieved it Friday (4 days later).
I'd say thats pretty good.

Our EB's pretty good, if they have used games around they'll point 'em out for you instead of trying to rip you off like some stores. I split between Best Buy and EB.

No Gamestop around here. The guys working in EB are really cool, I like buying from EB. Even if there was a Gamestop here I would probablly still shop at EB, lots of rebates in EB too.
EBGames
I rarely even look at the titles of who make games, unless i really like the game. Not saying it doesn't matter though.
example...
the orignal C&C, all the way up to Red Alert 2, was insanly fucking awesome. but then whoever it was(ironically i think it was EB) that did C&C:Generals, made it not so good anymore. not sure why...

EB is a store. EA Games is the people who did that. :p

I hit up CompUSA most of the time, I like that place. Not too big, not too small, and it doesn't matter if they know games or not. I like to know what I'm buying ahead of time.

Never heard of GameStop either. I've never had a problem with EB, the again it's quite out of my way so I don't buy aloy there.
Best Buy owns.

I doubt there are any Gamestop's within a 5000km radius of where I live. Trust me, I don't live in the country either. So basically all I can use is Harvey Norman (tech store) and EB.

I hate all those mall game stores. Babbage's was good, but it was pre-Revolution. Then they invented consoles. Now they are all full of jock retards who want a PS2 so they can play DOA: Extreme Beach Volleyball or Madden 2004. PC games are waaay in the back, and some of the shit is opened. They still have oldass games for sale. There are no good stores to buy games at all anymore.
Best Buy is no better.
I could NOT find the expansion pack to a five-star flight sim (IL-2 Aces pack). It isn't even on the website. What IS on is the "Gold Pack", selling both IL-2 and the pack for an inflated price. In fact, there were two flight sims for sale: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (dozens and dozens of copies because Microsoft is paying them to keep it on shelves) and Secret Weapons over Normandy, the *worst* flight sim *ever*.
My brother found exactly two copies of Vice City PC scattered about.
My other brother found Unreal Tournament 2004 sold out- but these fuckers were selling the demo (yes, the DEMO) for $4.95.
Meanwhile, Best Buy continues to sell GTA 2. Not in the old games section, in the normal section. Too much old, not enough good.
There is no good place to buy PC games. Start pre-ordering. I'm sorry to say, but Babbage's is dead.

CompUSA. However, I did find PlanetSide for 30 bucks at BestBuy, whereas CompUSA had it for 50.

Meh the only thing I use them for is the EB Edge card I mean hey 10% of used games that only cost $9.00 to begin with. Thats .90 I keep.
EDIT: The people at the best buy near me are idiots. I went in there asking about their laser mouse's and the guy says to me (mind you he was in the computer section) "whats a laser mouse?" To say the least I haven't gone back in awhile.

CompUSA sucks. The people there are knowledgable, but not with games. I remember I went to pick up Tribes 2 there on release day and they didn't have it. They didn't even know the game was out. So then I went to Gamestop.
It looks as if Gamestop is winning the war.

Whats a gamestop?????? I used to buy alll my games at future shop because there were no good tech shops around my area.
Now suddenly EB games have started like an Empire in my area and now 3 EB games have opened up in my town.
Yeah.... they are noobs. Don't even know what a game card is. I think its proably because the stores are new. Also take into account the people who's job it is to hire people don't want to hire people who simply know too much about games. They wanna hire people who can do the job (Operate a cashier and handle credit cards, etc.). So you gotta give them time.
Anyways I shop at EB games now because they seem to have everything.
