The Planetside OF log the last IP address that you connected from. Big no no you have any clue how much damage someone could do with that info.
OF = teh suxors fo j00
OF = teh roxors fo m3

m'kay... i maintain that it's not a security hole.

i mean, sure, you could dos somebody, but they can just call their isp and fix that in about ten seconds

edit: i just hit the OF, and i can't find IPs in anybody's profiles... that must be the psychotic episode you're talking about?

These boards log IPs as well. It's not a security hole. The only people who can see that information are moderators of these forums. (and I'm sure it's the same way for the OF boards.)

There are a million ways to get somebody's IP. Most websites log it. You can get it through AIM, or ICQ, or pretty much any IM service. You can get it from email headers too. If you're paranoid about people getting your IP, you might want to find a proxy that will let you tunnel EVERYTHING through it. Good luck with that.

If you want his real name, email address, home address, etc, I can give you that in addition to his IP address. :D Just incase you want to throw some social engineering in with your other 'haxoring' attempts. Having a registered domain gives up so much info. :p

Beautiful, a quote from the GI-Joe Fensler Films, Martyr, that site is awesome purely for that.

I was just kidding anyway :). If he was actually smart enough to make a serious attempt at owning your box I'm sure he'd know how to do a whois on a domain name.
