It's with much sadness that I bring this news to you. But life changes have forced me to sell my baby the Ford Lightning. I know some of you will probably pass out at the sight of this thread but it must be done. I can no longer justify the operating costs of this beast with its hunger for Premium gasoline and its ability to burn that gasoline in record time. Coupled with the monthly payments it's just too much money.

So anyway, if anyone is looking for a ford lightning in the New England area the price is 26,000. Toss me a PM :p but more than likley it will go to a different car (trade in)

I can dig it. My SS/T Dodge has been sitting by the wayside since the gas prices spiked. I ended up getting a beater just to get me back n forth. the 2.95/gal I was payin was just too much to do on a "day-to-day gas guage looks like the second hand on my watch" deal....but to my advantage...the beater I got was a '92 300ZX Twin Turbo.

Wrong choice. This was described in Road and Track once. Sure, gas is expensive, but it would have taken the editor over 500 years for the smaller car to outpay itself via savings at the pump. "Even with regular exercise and Centrum Silver, I'm not going to make it."
