Post a few things you've seen in games that make no goddamn sense whatsoever.
My big rant is ammo:
Let's take Deus Ex, for example.
They put you on Liberty Island with 6 fucking bullets. 6 goddamn bullets! Who does that? Bob Page, who heavily funds UNATCO, is like 4 times as rich as Bill Gates, and he invested heavily in the Nano-Aug project. Now why do they only give you 3 bucks' worth of ammo? You should start with like 60 rounds, like police officers do. And then the terrorists... when you search them after knocking out or killing them, you get lots of ammo, like 2 bullets when it took you 3 to drop 'em. Same with them, terrorist is talking to his wife and he's all like "Honey, we're hitting the statue of liberty tonight, I may not come back, but I intend to put up a good fight. That's why I'm bringing lots of ammo, 5 bullets! 5/6 of a clip, we're really gonna give 'em hell!"
Fuckin' crazy. And don't even get me started on Resident Evil. "I'll fight dozens of zombies, with 1 bullet."

Steam. Everytime you join a server you have to download a "security module" yet it does nothing to prevent anything.
Counter-Strike. Why is the UMP more expensive then the MP5 if its less accurate, shoots slower, and has a smaller clip?
arcade games are the worst. have you ever played "silent scope"? you know, the one thats completely unrealistic and if someone spots you from 400 yards away, and they have a SMG, they shoot from the hip, and kill you in 1 shot?
and sports games in general. why do they get rated so high? madden has been the same for 3 years, with minor addons like training camp and stupid stuff like that. what if they did that for half life?would that make people happy?

Is Half-life worth getting, for Counterstrike?

I disagree with Deus Ex not providing enough ammo at the start. You can get some on the dock before you engage the first bad guy. He drops more, and if you work over to the Unatco guard he will sell you 2-3 clips and tranqs for the crossbow you should have picked up by the time you get to him. I never have an issue with having enough 10mm ammo. Now sniper ammo is another story.

Soab! I always thought he was selling you like 1 clip for your 200 credits.

What I don't like in games, especially multi player online games is cheating. What keeps me from playing many other FPS games is I do not cheat but it feels like you HAVE to cheat to at least be competitive in certain games/environments. I guess you could call it a fear of playing a game and thinking you suck when you just are playing by the rules which noone else is.

What really pisses ME off is how PlanetSide always chooses to freeze when someone opens fire on me. Not before, not after. As soon as they pull the trigger, my computer decides to wander off into freeze-frame limbo. Then, as soon as I'm good and dead, it unfreezes. WTF.
Well, I AM aware that I'm running with 256 meg PC2100 (which is a severe bottleneck in my system btw), and when people shoot, new textures need to be displayed etc, but it still angers me. Ah well, in a couple weeks I'm gonna get some new RAM. (Was gonna get it this week, but I overcharged on my debit card and the fuckin bank charged me $150. I even made a deposit later in the day (figuring, ok, I have a negative balance but if I make a deposit before the end of the day no problem right?
Goddamn thieves.

Ever try Vietcong? It was an outstanding FPS online multiplayer when it demoed. Then some crackhead had to figure out how people could jump up and off the map and still run and shoot people on the map. Ruined the frickin game.

cheaters are just lazy fucks who usually suck ass at a game, the only game i have seen where cheating is fine is in A.A., because most servers kick for god commands, etc. and only let u chose ur own weaponry to fight with

Games that put up knee-high barriers and expect you as the gamer to accept that your character is either too stupid or too handicapped to somehow make it over the barrier.
Games that use poor camera shifting to keep the next surprise out of sight from you.
Levels in games that completely don't match the style of the other 90% of the game. Yeah, I'm looking at you blood-trails in space level of Max Payne. Rot in hell.

Out-of-place levels? Sounds like that one in Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield, where you had to sneak around that guy's house and plant bugs.

Rant #1
Crash bugs. Nothing about a game pisses me off more than crash bugs. These people are professional programers. Their stuff should be almost 100% bug free. There should be ZERO ctd errors in a professionally made peice of software. I'm not some fool that doesn't know anything about programming either. I've done quite a bit of complex coding in the past. I know for a fact that most bugs in games result from lazy or just plain bad coding practices. I know that there are a few companies who still take the time to weed out all of the bugs that cause crashes. One of them is Blizzard, and as long as they continue that practice I will continue to buy their games, weather I play them or not. I've never ever had a Blizzard game ctd, not once. I don't like to pay any amount of money for a game that crashes on a regular basis. A lot of developers will make exuses about how complex their code is, and this reason or that reason why they have bugs. The reality is that it's just lazyness. Coding is not some fuzzy concept that's abstract and hard to work the kinks out of. Coding is about as straight forward as anything gets. The computer does exactly what you tell it to do, nothing more an nothing less. If it crashes, it's because some human made a mistake somewhere. If cars were like PC games they'd lock you inside until you turned off the car and turned it back on, and people would just accept this for some stupid reason.
Rant #2
Nothing ruins the gamming world more than fanboy douche bags who think that nothing about their favorite game could ever be bad or done better. I hate it when people present valid complaints about some aspect of a game and the first response they get to the complaint is something like "CS pWnXorZ j00 nUB!!!one V4lv3 |s l33t!!!!". People like that are the reason game companies can get away with releasing giant piles of bug ridden shit into the market and then patch it to hell over the next year, and still never fix all the crash bugs.

cough whatPSwhat cough
As for me, it'd have to be...shitty music in a game. Nothing is worse to me than playing with fucked up music, and my comp. isn't good enough for me to play Winamp and my game at the same time.

Empire Earth: I have dominance over 1 big planet and 3 moons and there are only two enemy civilizations left. I'm Novaya Russia and I'm just pumping Iron/gold into my economy so I make about 50 Nuke missiles +4 space carriers full of 15 planetary fighters AND 5 transports full of Hyperions, Zeus's, infantry, AA, Tanks, and the works so I'm sending in a total of about 200 units+50 nukes. Well I turn there base into ground zero and then dump my units on their planet but somehow they fucking manage to fend me off and repair their base from like 3 cyborg workers back to what it was before my massive attack and then send a fucking counter attack to me! IT WAS BULLSHIT!!! NO ONE COULD HAVE SURVIVED MY SWARM. I think it has something to do with that they were the chinese and had just in time manufacturing so they were able to just pump out units from their resource surplus. But is was bullshit I tell you!

Diablo 2: Is it just me or does the majority of that people drop a few IQ points every few hours? These people are incapable of the simplest tasks. For instance they can never commit to a trade and are always convinced their newest found item is the best thing ever. Dueling is retarded, rarely do you ever find somone who is honest and doesn't bring in their level 98 gay ass barbarian with karate chop action and kill all the level 30's and stuff and NK them and laugh and just say STFU Noob. Then everyone is always just looking to rip you off to the point where people run programs to found peoples account passwords to steal all their fucking stuff.

"Cone of fire" accuracies. Not to mention any names *COUGH RAINBOW SIX THREE* but your accuracy does *not* go to hell when you twitch. A fast, fluid movement can have you on the target with little or no accuracy loss.

I actually went online and pulled the cheat code to level skip so I could get past that stupid freaking level. Of course in the sequel Metal Age they have all the damn robots, but at least they are killable without holy water.
