Hi

When I started playing the 7-day trial I was told that I could continue playing just by starting a subscription without buying the game (See this thread (http://www.planetside-universe.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20613)), but I can't figure out how. When I click on the link to manage the (now closed) trial subscription, I'm told to buy the game and enter the code found in the case.

How do I start a new subscription without buying the game and then link it to the trial subscription account so that I can continue playing my old chars if that is at all possible?

Regards
Andreas

Hah, they got another one with their lies. You have to buy the game to get a code, then you can enter that on your account to continue your subscription.

Yes, you have to buy the game. Only the 30 day trial, which ended a couple months ago, could you continue without buying the game.

Actually, I'd be pissed off if people stopped having to pay for the game. The got me for $50 for the game and then $30 for the expansion....why should I be the only person ripped off?

here's how mate, I figured it out last week when I was in the same predicament:

""HOORAY the gamespot key still works to subscribe from... I don't have to buy the box!!!

Score one for Mr. Cheap!!!

How do you do it you may ask?

Enter your email, and the email will HAVE to be a hotmail or yahoo account, I have no idea why, but I can verify that it doesn't respond to others.

Your key will be sent to that and you can use it to subscribe. (not for a trial anymore it appears though) but this saves you $20-40 from having to buy the retail.

hope this helps someone else if they were going to subscribe from the trial.""

I just bought the game, paid, liked it; and continued. Simple? Its not THAT expensive.

It's not how much it cost initially its how much you have to pay to continue to play.
Even 22 every three months, is kinda expensive for me. :(

yea but I think games like this are justifiable, as far as a monthly fee goes...but perhaps the fee is too high...idk

See, I actually save a great deal of money on pay-to-play games. Before I started playing MMOs, I would buy a game, beat it, go out and buy another. I went through a couple games a month this way, usually paying $40-50 per game. A game with a subscription that isnt "beatable" and provides occasional new content keeps me occupied and interested. The last game I bought was Homeworld 2 back in December (really good game though!)

My trial subscription just expired as well, You're saying that by doing what you said, you get the chance to pay for a real subscription instead of paying for basically the box and key? If so, thank you.
