Halo 2 - Something Bungie's hiding

I can't promise you anything, but after reading the First Strike the halo novel that takes place after Halo I found a few very interesting things. Remember how Master Cheif was the last Spartan left, not quite.
Check out the E3 video and watch as the soldiers are suiting up.

Here's how thats possible- Reach was not completely destroyed- several Spartans were trapped inside the fallback position. At the end of the book only 4 Spartans are still alive- this could be evidence that 4 player co-op might be put into the game because there is Master Cheif of course. Linda the sniper. Will and Fred, two other guys.

I have read the book also, Bungie isnt hiding it they put it in the book for what I hope is :gasp: 4 Player Co-op. Ill have to look at the trailer again

Ok heres the deal - Sgt. Johnson is coming down from Earth with them from the long journey from halo on the way from halo they stopped at reach, found some spartans and were going back to earth- if you want me to explain how Sgt Johnson survived the explosion and flood I will.

They're not Spartans you ninnies. They're just ODST. I remember reading somewhere last year about there being Spartan-looking-guys with black armor. I suppose they could have changed the color a bit and that is what we end up with.

The armor wouldn't do anything to you if you were just a normal guy. However, were you to move in the armor, you'd kick your own ass due to it's enhanced movement properties.

Dhark, even if you never read books, read these books. The one by Dietz, the Flood is simply a recount of Halo except mentioning what the marines did and other smaller things...I thought it was good, but nothing compared to the Nylund ones, The Fall of Reach and First Strike. FoR was one of the best I've read.

If you guys want some predictions on what's to come in Halo 2, look at what some of these conspiracists (that even a word...) think and read some of these (http://halosm.bungie.org/story/news.html). I wouldn't be surprised if half of these people are right, as they have taken very close looks.

Although most of the Spartans did die on Reach. There weren't Spartans in the video, but there might be something about them in the game.

well, thats strange, because at the end of First Strike, there are 2 other spartins with master cheif, a 3rd died on the covinant command carrier, and Kelly was off with Dr. Halsy (person that created the spartain program), also, there was a second batch of spartains, i belive it was mentioned in the first book, fall of Reach. see, if you notice, in that 8 minuet trailer, the XO of the area says, "i requested back up, but i didnt think theyd send a spartain". that shows to you dudes, that there is more than one. im gonna have to read First Strike again when halo 2 comes out.

Let's see, the E3 is around 100-120MB. You can stream the documentary of MS's site though. The doc contains some pretty interesting stuff, apart from the new footage.

In fact they do, except Jane wasn't just a "mere" program that could fit inside Master Chief armour, she spanned over thousand star systems, lots of light years apart.....but cortana got more of a human personality then Jane....

Besides that. Jane talks through a jewel as Cortana talks through.....a helmet but MC put a chip into his helmet right where his ear would be so there is a close resemblance. And Cortana can recieve broadcasts so she's about the same as Jane besides the fact jane came basicly out of nowhere.


And Jane gets more human later on if you read the whole series.

It cant be ODSTs... in FoR it said that when they tested Mjolnir on normal humans they weren't able to react to the suit quick enough and couldn't build a mental bond witht he suit to control it... I think that those guys were the first to get Mjolnir armor version 5 and maybe John didnt get it yet
it said that they got it from DR hasley in the book but I didnt hear anything about john getting it

Only a few of the spartans, the ones with Dr.Halsey when they were forced underground (First Strike) were given parts of the new Mjlonir. Even then, they were only given one piece of equipment each and John wasn't one of those who received something.

Everay, if you're talking about the difference between the armor in this trailer and the armor in Halo, it's because the graphics are much better. It's still the same, just looks alot better.

First of all, we're talking about the video, which is actual in-ame footage. Second of all, the screenshots they post aren't doctored but appear a wee bit better than they might seem because of the way they change it from the box the PC...well I can't remember exactly but it something like that.

OK heres how i figure it out. In the book if you go through it and read it not all spartans (others than MC john). All three books hint in a subtle way that John-117 isnt the last spartan in the series. Alsoe bungie leaked out that there will be spartan 3's in Halo 2 and if ytou put that together it can create the assumption that MC john will meet up with other Spartans. The guy in the pelican drop ship is not a spartan also. because you see him putting on the helomet that look completly different to the Mc's. And bungie themselves said they are keeping what the spartans look like under the armour a secret as they said in an e3 presentation it will be revealed in the game.

now what is really bugging me about Halo 2 is not the Spartan issue. BUT 343 guilty spark..... IS HE IN THE NEW HALO!!!! its been bugging me... i reckon he sent the Covenant at the huymans in the first place or something like that..
