Does anyone know if Miir is still going to do Plaentside movies? I mean the whole site is now devoted to WoW and to no other games (as i can see). I still haven't seen SoA and now i have the perfect time to d/l it. Just it is no longer availible to d/l.


And while i'm at it, could anyone/someone possibly link or email me the movie to [email protected]

Lost the memo eh?

In theory, we are taking a "break" from PS, since it sucks a large amount of man-ass as a fliming platform. I doubt we will though.

I know you guys were taking a "break", but damn. I'm dissapointed. He said he was going to film other games too but it seems everything is pro WoW and its only in beta. Course Malvision is free to do whatever, but MalvisionFlimes was going to follow that 'all games' lines.

we're stepping away from PS for a while but may eventually return. Right now we're a guild for WoW, Malvision FILMS is the filmmaking aspect of the whole group. we may not nessecarily film in WoW, since we have seperated into 2 parts (regular and Malvision FILMS) which allows us to be a regular gaming guild and make movies on the side.

Well as long as he keeps his word, and continues filming as he once did before (dont really care if it was PS or not, perferd it to be ps). I'm ok.

There were a few things wrong, like when the guy got off the bassy, but that's lag based, just like any game would have.

yea. but while filming EP1 there were various problems in the game(i.e, doors opening out of sync with multiple players boarding vehicles, various physics problems). this the luster of WoW PvP fading, I wouldnt be surprised if we went back to filming in it sooner then later.

Yeah. Miir just got really frustrated with this thing. Not that I blame him. We re did so many shoots it wasnt fucking funny. And yet you can still spot many inperfections.

Major Bugs would stop filming, It looked to me like the last one was just fine.The released project was after an insane amount of redone shots due to various bug problems. What you see is not always what happened.

I think he just didn't wana pay the monthly fee anymore.We have free accounts.

I guess its a way to promote the game, Machinma (Movies made with gaming engines) is a growing medium, you can get big prize money at awards not to mention lots of notice.
I won't be surprise if you did ask SOE to give you free accounts so you can make a movie in the next 2 months they might seriously consider it.
After all CC was a kind of a set back.....

If you want me to admit that I bit off more than I can chew so be it. SOA was too much work. I was coming from movies that generally took a day to film and produce maybe a weekend at the most. I thought it would be a fun challenge to produce something larger and I even had doubts after the trailer was completed that it was possible to do something this large in a reasonable time frame. Boy my gut feeling was right WAY TOO MUCH TIME!

As some of you said, it started to become more of a "Fuck Machinma" film which is not what MALVISION has ever been trying to do. (hate that term hence the MALVISION t-shirt slogan :rolleyes: )

I like the idea of the community being involved in every aspect of the game film production. Actually I had thought that getting people more involved in all aspects would reduce the work load on my end. It unfortuately didn't... it just added management on the top of everything. :scared:

So rather than lead people on any further SOA was removed from MALVISION as I don't want to hold back the other filmers from producing some PS series themselves. (sorry still can't have the script Biohazzard :lol: )

I look forward to see what people can come up.
