Around 13:30 PST time today the main page have strange text on it on the top and bottom of the page. The forums were just a white page with similar text. The text looked like this:

That means it was probably down during that time for the upgrade

EDIT: I don't see my character's empire or stats under my avatar anymore

Hamma, on the left side, underneath your icon, it just says what empire you're in. It's also supposed to say what server like Emerald etc... And it doesn't have the links to your players stats either.
