The Question I Got Is What IS The Fun In Running In Dropping Tubes And/Or Gens, On A Cont That Has A Low Enemy Population.

Don't Get Me wrong I Understand, Dropping Gens To Rob Them Of Tech Or Of Benefits, Or If There Is A Massive Battle Going On, But When There Is 25+ of One Empire And 5 Of Another, It Is Boring.

Base BabySitting Is What It Comes Down To, And A LOT Of Bored People TKing Each Other.

Flame If You Want( I Am Flame Proof :P).

But Maybe Some Special Bases Should Have Protected Gens And Tubes, Ex: An Extremely Effective Pain Field(Taking 15 Health instead of 5), And On First Attack Goes Into A Maximum Lock Down Closing Doors And Added Blast Doors That Have To Be Hack(As If No Hacking Cert And Can Not Be Opened From Inside By Enemy) Or Can't Be Hack By Those Without Any Hacking Cert, This Last As Long As It Takes For The Gen To Self-Repair. Same For Spawn Rooms, But A Shield Like Door Allowing Friendly Movement In And Out.

It Can May be A Combo Base, Ex..Tech/Bio Or Amp/Interlink

Any ideas.

Ever think that perhaps its an outfit doing some practice runs? Or perhaps a squad of ppl just want to try out a new tactic?

I am a gen dropper/Spawn Tube Blower. I love my craft. It's one of the least loved (as far as experience) in the game. I love the sense and satisfaction I get when I lead a team of 5 ppl into a base and blow the gens while a zerg is going on.

Don't immediately jump to conclusions and post before you think about it.

It's Generally Called Tactical Play. Tactical Play Isn't Necessarily Fun. Now, Can We Please Stop The Capitalisation Of Every Word; As, As You Can See, It's Really F'in Annoying.

If i read this right. I definatly say no to this. Because if this happened then during a zerg you have just one guy in the gen room, a friendly defending the base, keep the gen from being fully repaired just to keep the lock down.

Noodle For something limp that is good point.

But That Is The Down Side, If They Do Get Them Down, Which Prob Requires The Sacrifice Of At Least One Member, And It Will Hurt The Zerg If A noob Trys To Take It Down With Say with a lasher, but it was just a thought. But I Can Still Be Opened Just Takes The enemy Longer.

Thanks for the input

Why Do You Put A Capital Letter On Each Word You Spell? It Is Quite Irritating And Makes My Eyes Bleed

The thing is...like...using caps correctly, fair enough, that makes you look smart. Abusing them like you do really, really doesn't.

I don't like the idea because for me fun is helping the empire like it's a real fight so dropping the gens and tubes doesn't take away from my fun. And if you really are bored during caps then tk your outfit members it's a lot of fun :).

I can sum it up pretty easily. If you don't bring the tubes down that means you're going to be camping, and only no skilled noobs camp to pad their kill count.

Simply put, gen-dropping is key to the entire battle. It is not an incredibly rewarding job in terms of B/C EP, but dropping gens and tubes provides your fellows elsewhere a wonderful relaxation period, as enemy forces must pull back from the attack to mind their kitchen. Personally, I think that the Devs might want to implement a BEP reqard for dropping a gen: that might lessen the zergs, as everyone would spread out to try and go spec opping. I apologize for the relative incoherence of this post: I just had 3 sodas and a couple M&M packages, and my fingers are typing faster than my brain is thinking.

i dont know gen/tube dropping seems to slow the flow of battles, imo.

i always thought the point was to fight.

i ops too but just to rob them of benefits.

But I Am Glad To See Some Decent FeedBack.

Thx.

wow. now ill keep it simple for you. Me throw rock at head yours. ok. now i dont want zergside . Special ops give planetside more of a tactical feeling. they make it more than LETS GET MORE PEOPLE AND VEHICLES AT POINT A!!!!

this proposed bases dont stop special ops if u read. it makes it more of a team effort.

or extemely hard for one person to do.
