As it says in the manual "you get cr xp when your team hacks a fac" but how come then i get small cr xp (0 - 100) by just standing in a fac that has just turned into nc fac. Also, i hacked a fac and got 2000 br xp, but my squad leader got 4000 cr xp.
Can anyone shead some light on the subject?

Ways you get CEP in order of importance:
Be the Squad Leader
Fight in the SOI of a contested base
Have as big a squad as you can manage without getting a name for yerself being a invite slut
Keep as many of the squad in the SOI as long and as often as possible
Don't get stuck at Gunuku/Itan/Kaang
Be the attacker
Dont zerg the enemy (its easy, but less rewarding)
Be the defender and resecure
CEP is based on the same formula that cap BEP is based on with a modifier. The only thing that counts toward CEP is original observed (meaning in the same SOI) enemy deaths at the hand of your empire inside the SOI 10 minutes before a hack till it goes through.
Important relevant info:
Escorting an LLU is the same as being in the SOI of the base.
Carrying the LLU gives no bonus.
One squad member observing a kill is better than none, but all of them is far better.
Your squad dun have to make even one kill or do the hacking, you just have to be in the SOI to observe the kills.
Things that do not affect CEP at all whatsoever:
Killing a gen
Killing spawns
Capping towers
Base going neutral (as long as it has NTU before it flips)
Friendly kills
Deaths
Spawn camping
Being the actual hacker
Losing squad members
Leaving the SOI (you will always get what you earned, so dont hang around a base you dun have to)
Anything that happened 10 minutes and 1 second before the hack is started
The 10 minute timer wont gimp you, it will just count the first time each enemy was killed in the period after. So killing SniperMoe 11 minutes before wont matter, but when you killed him 8 mins ago it will...
Anything need to be cleared up? I made it sound more complicated than it is...

In the time I have played the game I have found a number of ways to speed my advance in cr.
Contrary to popular belief it seems, having a full squad does not help. The amount of CEP gained works off of the time that squad members spend in the SOI of the base and number of kills they witness therein. These kills are UNIQUE so spawn camping does nothing for the hack exp.
With a 2-person squad, the exp for any hack caps at 2970, but just about every base hack you get will be around 2970 even if it is a minor engagement. Working on cr5 2970 is about 1/10th of a bubble so getting regular 2970s is much more efficient than occasional 4000s or near-5000s.
With a larger squad, you actually get penalized for the members of your squad being out of the SOI or not on-cont. 4000+ is very rare as a result and very often you get less than 1000.
This is why I usually only squad with outfit guys and why I never invited randoms.
BEP gain from base hacks works off of unique kills witnessed by you while in the SOI of a base 10 minutes before the hack is begun up to the completion of the hack. BEP caps at 2550 and at this point is much less efferent than killing for BR gain.
Good hack = 2550 BEP
Average reaver kill = 800 for the reaver, 800 for the pilot = 1600 BEP for shooting down one reaver.
Vehicles give you more BEP than infantry, mainly because it gives you BEP for the vehicle and because those in vehicles tend to live longer.
This is why AA maxes work so well for solo BEP gain, as do reavers / skeedos.

Martyr, don't forget the command chats you get startin at CR2. 2 being about an SOI in radius, 3 being about 3 SOI's in radius, 4 being a full continent, and 5 being global... (AAAHHH!!!!!)
Also the abilities you get like the reveals and the emp get bigger as well as the OS.
Friendlies gets to pretty much cover the continent.
Enemies goes from about half an SOI to 3 SOI's
I think emp covers more... maybe I am just goin crazy. It feels larger...

Sitreps are important too, the 4-to-5 sitrep is not broken any more, it sends it up to all 5's on the continent. CR4s, use them! They help a lot. What I wanna know is if the CR5 sitrep only sends it to the 5's on the continent. If it did it would really cut down on the /c spam. ie, I am defending Tarqaq,
<person 1>: hey <person 2>
<person 2>: yeah?
<person 1>: ams bd tara, you want it? my os not up yet
<person 2>: sure
<person 2>: thanks
<person 3>: 3 tr killing gens at amun
<person 4>: i got it
<person 1>: little bit west <person 2>
<person 3>: cool
<person 5>: hey guys!
<person 2>: thanks <person 1>
<person 1>: hey
<person 3>: sup

I think it was either last patch, or the patch before. I know I recall getting them from cr4's though, so they do work.
Cr4 sitrep goes to all 5's on THAT continent, I do not think cr5's on other continents get them.
I hope that the cr5 sitreps are only to the continent, kinda like standard cr4 chat, otherwise I wish that cr5's could sitrep down, to the cr4's.

For those of us that, like me, have never been above CR1, answer me this: what is a sitrep?

All characters of Command Rank 2 or higher are endowed with Command Chat which includes a channel for all CRs of the same rank and the ability to send a Situation Report to the Command Rank one higher...
Optimally it would work like this:
CR2 sitrep-> CR3 sitrep-> CR4 sitrep-> CR5
And conversely, a command distribution network would work in reverse:
CR5 cmddist-> CR4 cmddist-> CR3 cmddist -> CR2
But the communication channels arent much use and there is no command distribution channel so you get contalls and Globals about pea soup in Rang's nose...

Command chat for cr4's and 5's is useful, thats about it though...

If I could un-cert agile armor I would. Esp with the surge nerf coming up. PJs > all.
Its not even warping, it's just the standard is much more efficent for stamina and sneaking up on people. Plus you run way faster so you can chase down rexos and such and still run away from just about anything.
