View Full Version : Code Red

So, yeah, we're under Code Red at school right now.
Code Red is the code at our school when we have a "campus emergency." That means there is either a gun/some drugs/or a bomb on campus somewhere. It may possibly be a false alarm, but Code Reds are taken very seriously here.
All teachers go into action when they hear Code Red. Doors are locked school wide, students in the hall are cleared faster than you can imagine, and in most classrooms you are shuffled into the corner on the same wall as the door (so a possible shooter can't shoot thru the window and hit a kid in class).
It's really neat. I'll post later when they lift the code.

So, uh, how are you able to use the Internet? Aren't you huddled against a wall or something? :)

Normal classes are huddled in the corner. I'm in a comp lab, and the doors for comp labs are at such an angle that they aren't a threat, so we don't have to get in a corner.
Heh, and you're on IRC, too. Weee!
Let us know how it turns out.
Reminds me of the time we had Code Blue. Not as serious, but we all had to leave an hour early.

our code blue means theres an intruder. They tell us to stay in the classroom during those. I wonder tho, what would we do if we had a fire and a code blue at once?

Random locker searches are illegal unless done by the Principal. Drug testing can be done at any time, any place, for any reason.

lol stupid idiots get caught with drugs here all the time. they can't give u a random drug test though, my friend who's a drug dealer (just a high white guy) got caught with drugs and it was meh. he got suspended. I guess drugs are uncommon in the rest of the country. Beer and Weed are as common as pens and paper here.

THey've done this at our school aswell, it was just a drug bust. The put you in the corners, get out out of the hallways, and make you close the windows so the police wont be inturrupted. Around 100 people got butsed that day for various drugs

Ok, here's the final results. This information is what really happened. I talked to a few of the administrators.
The police showed up at our school at around 8:30 yesterday morning and told the admins to lock the school down. So they called a Code Red (lockdown.) Over 20 police (maybe more, I didn't get a good number) came in with a lot of drug-sniffing dogs. The police originally came to my school to catch a list of people they knew to be dealers/users with illegal drugs on them on campus. It just so happened that the people they were looking for didn't show up for school that day. So, they decided to go ahead and search the rest of the lockers and cars on campus. They ended up arresting 5+ (couldn't get an exact number) for possession of something illegal on campus.
So it was basically a planed raid to get those few that didn't even show up. hehe

our school does stuff like that, but we dont have to gather in the corner..just closed the doors and cover the windows on the doors..
they bring dogs around to sniff. my friend was out in the bathroom when they called one once, and he had to wait there the whole time cause the dogs woulda got him if he came out.

thank god they dont do that at my school. everyone would go to jail and I know a couple people who would get like 5 years for the stuff they carry around. Ive been cautious about that kinda stuff ever since I got busted once.

In 5th grade they had us do red drills. We ducked under the desk, turned out the lights, hoped they weren't smart enough to figure that something was up if there was a classroom with the lights off.
I kept thinking, "Better yet, you could get a couple rent-a-cops and give 'em 45s."

I kept thinking, "Better yet, you could get a couple rent-a-cops and give 'em 45s."You know, it's pretty absurd, even in the world we live in, that any school shooter would be some random gun with a handgun or rifle. Any school shooter would more then likely be a student, and thus, not only know the exact procedure, but where his classmates would seek cover in the rooms

I didn't think of it exactly like that, but the DARE cop said that if that happened, he'd have to run out to his car and get his gun, and we should just stay put. I asked why he didn't just keep it with him, or at least have us run out while he's going.
Man, if we had a "Code Red" whenever they though someone at our school had drugs, we'd never learn anything.
I just yelled 'CODE RED!' and while my girlfriend was looking at me all confused wondering WTF, I took her weed.

When I was in 8th grade, we had about 15 (no lie) bomb threats in about 2 months. It was pretty popular back then, we all had to go outside and wait on the field while the police and firetrucks came and searched the building. In the beginning (it started in april) it was still cold outside so we were all sent home about 8 times, but then when it started getting warmer, we would all just have classes outside. It was really a lot of fun, especially since my school had the nastiest smelling air I've ever...well...smelled.

My school once had a bomb drill scheduled, which requires the whole campus to evacuate to a safe distance outside. But on the day it was supposed to happen, it started to rain, so they canceled it. That's our administration for you: more concerned about staying dry than practicing for the worst...
"BOMB! BOMB!"
"Evacauate the school!"
"No! It's raining out! We can't do that! Everyone stay inside!"
"Good plan!"

one time at my school during a fire drill the janitor staff forgot to come outside and make sure everyone got out, and when you see them there you know its a drill. but they werent, so people thought there was a fire, some idiot called 911 on a cell phone, and in about 10 minutes a fleet of ambulences and firetrucks arrived. cost me my entire trig class. :p

Our school has 'Code Delta' which is the same thing, but sounds cooler, like we expect Delta Force to come to our school in case someone brings a knife to school.

Obviously he's saying that a kid skipped school, came back, fit 20 teachers inside a doughnut, fought Pat Buchanan, ran away from the doughnut for 4 hours, then got suspended for sexual harassment. llol.

This isn't a fucking military operation. What's next, Eagle Strike? What a stupid idea, the cops just come by and check the place out.

What he said.
Well, our school ties in very well with the local governments (very well as in I think there is a serious conspiracy here), so I wouldn't doubt that if a kid shows up with a gun, Delta Force teams will rappel down from Ospreys while AC-130s circle the school, SHADOWNET spies hit the lights and infiltrate, et cetera.
