Okay, upon arriving to my brother house, I notice he has a good computer. A REALLY good computer. Matter of fact, a really BITCHING computer. Even though I have no idea whats inside, it has an LCD display and a 5.1 system atatched to it, so it cant be all that bad, right? I run dxdiag.

RAM: 1024 MB DDR
Video Card GeForce 4 Ti 4200 AGP 8X.

So, I start looking for some games to play on its sweet, SWEET goodness.

Not one.

Not one single goddamn game on the whole system. on 106 GB's, not one game thats not included in windows. My brother is a blasphemer. Why waste all this energy on web-browsing an emailing, when you can run COD, completely maxed out with no FPS lag? WHY?!

instead she went with something slightly worse for the same 3k by compaq and her case has a crappy power supply, plus its the size of a shoebox (ok 1 and a half shoeboxes)

my cousin told her alienware over paid

the thing that kills me is she has more processor speed, but my computer runs way faster, she has tons of spyware, trojans, viruses, everything you can think of

her previous computer stopped functioning, windows stopped booting up, i couldnt even pull up the bios it was so fucked up, all because she didnt take care of it

EDIT2: Also he should be shot for buying a PC at best buy, and the other dude should be shot for sugesting Alienware, and especialy compaq god i would get a dell over a compaq. Realy anything not made by yourself of a friend that knows alot about comps is crap. my P3 Cellron 900mhz with 256mb's or pc133(made by me) outran my 1.3ghz p4 with 512mb's or 600mhz RDRAM. People say it too hard and take to much time, but its insanly simple and takes 2 hours of time

I am frustrated by the computer manufacturers that sell absolute crap and use incredibly deceptive advertizing, and have the brand name price added to them though it accrualys means they are paying extra for cheaply made OEM parts

Soyo Dragon MB, P4(prescott)HT, and 1024Mb DDR400 ramz0rz.

edit: maybe a Gigabyte MB, I havn't decided. Either way, that shit and a new case is going to get up around $800.
