does ps still lag?

i played ps from the start of beta and then for like 3 months after that, but i stopped. the servers were getting too laggy for me and i couldn't put up with the frustration of having a slow moving fps. I have a better computer now and that may help, but, has the lag been better lately than it was during the time i played? if so i'm thinkin about renewing for a month and trying it our again, the central base thing sounds cool.

comp specs and i can give you a reasonable ballpark for frames.

Also most FPS issues are not do to servers.

hmm your ram is the only reason you should lag at all if any, netcode wise you shouldnt, system spec wise you probably will encounter some studders. If you want to come back to PS, dont worry about lag its not that frequent and the game is great.

actually 768mb of ram will do you good. So if you want to save money, get an extra 256mb of ram. I run on 768mb of ram and get no lag. I have pretty much everything on high too.

i play on my laptop. fuckin' thing runs like a monkey with a cattle prod crammed up its ass. 3.06Mhz p4.. 1024 MB RAM, some retardedly fast mobile radeon card that has no business being in a laptop. all this shit heats it up so fast tho, so i have two fans and my air conditioner in my room blowing on it. i love college.. i can put my computer RIGHT in front of the AC and no one bitches about it..

in other words.. minimum lag. if any.

I'm pretty sure that that is untrue. I've seen benchmarks and it's below the 96xt and one or two of the geforce 5's. but it's still good enough for a while. this summer, or whenever pci express goes mainstream, i'm building a new machine with pci express grahics card and 64 bit processor.
