Different than other MMOs...NO not really. Only the concept itself is really different. You choose an archetype (class), choose from a selection of powers that arch can have, choose your appearance (GREAT generator for this) and hit the streets doing missions and fighting mobs.

Archetypes:
Blaster - These guys deal out damage at range
Defenders - Lesser blasters with healing abilities
Scrappers - These deal out the damage in melee
Tankers - They take a crap load of damage and smile
Controllers - They can Mez and Heal
