As most of you know, my father was very close to me. When he passed away 2 years ago a hole had opened in my heart. I had a huge post here that I wrote about my father and how close he was to me. Well, today I celebrate his 59th birthday. Why have a celebration for someone who has passed on? Because, his spirit is forever with me and my family. He is a part of my life still. I can hear him while I'm fixing stuff around the house, I can see it in the way I walk sometimes, talk sometimes, act sometimes. As much as I didn't want to be my father growing up, I am becoming more and more like him.

I love you Dad

My sympathies go out to you. That is a very young age for him to have passed away at. Right now my father is 59, and I would be devastated if I lost him. May his spirit forever guide you and protect you.

Your father may not be physically with you anymore, but definately take comfort in the fact that you learned many things from him that will shape your life. You still have your memories of him, so he is still with you in an intangible sense.

So, a tribute to your father Sentrosi, may he be at peace, and a part of you forever.

My dad is 64, so yeah, I worry about him sometimes...

Though i do not know what it is like to loose a parent, i do not wish to experience it for some time. My father has somewhat of an attitude problem towards most people, but it seems i'm the only one he can talk to some times. So sorry for your loss and keep on truck'n

much love sent. I know little of what it is like to lose a family member, especially a father. Both my great grandmothers have passed away, but i did not know them very well.

If you really want to make your father proud, live your life out to the fullest and live in the present not the past.

I'm sorry for you, I know what it's like to lose a parent, cousin, any family member you name it, I've lost alot of people in my life.

My father was killed in a motorcycle accident 1 year ago May 11th. I know your story so well as it's exactly like my own. Just keep up in life and make your dad proud. And don't feel bad becoming like him. I wish I was half the man my father was every day, and I'm constantly striving to be better. I plan on throwing a huge party for my father's birthday in August, as was always the yearly tradition.

If you ever want to talk, throw me a PM or hit me up on AIM.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Truly, if there was one word to sum up everyone here, it's Family.

It's true what they say; time cures all wounds. I'm not as sad as I was last year or the year before. I remember the good times we had together. I can only hope to be as good a father as my dad was with me when Mrs. Sentrosi and I have our first child.

It makes me want to talk to my Daddy too.
Sometimes I take him for granted, and I think he's turning 50 this year.
You never know how much you love them until you lose them.
I hope I don't.
