Im all for the idea of real time tacticains telling where to move forces, tanks, *artillery?*, etc. buuut I dont want some punk kid just saying you 100 men go bumrush that 200 size nme force. Im just wondering if there will be a good system in place to make sure we dont get idiots. im loyal but im not going to die needlessly for some cocky person not taking his role seriously. Just think of it, this is gonna be huge right? I know there are some people out there that just rock at tactics. and i know there is like a penalty for not carrying out high ranked orders. so...lets hope we have a moron meter in the tactics area of the game so we dont get a buncha imature people at the helm of 100+ size forces.

I havent seen anyone talk about this here, so have it :) and gimme something to read hehe.

Well, I'd hope you'd be able to tell by the amount of CEP someone has....

Someone who has very little CEP, isn't "Typically" going to be a very good commander are they?

Altho... at the beginning of the game, you're just gonna have to take yer chances and wait till the good leaders start showing themselves on the field.

One way you can find out ahead of time, is to ally yourself with an already established Clan, Outfit, Tribe etc. that plays in other games and see how well their leaders do on the fields of battle there....

Yea if you dont like the guy or his CEP isnt good, you dont have to follow him around like a headless chicken, just find a new outfit, or some people you already know. :p

It will take some time to perfect good strats, and time for good leaders to show their true colors. So like arg said, at the beginning your kinda on your own. Unless of course you already know some peopel and are in an outfit from day one.

Usually in mmorpg game or whatever, when someone takes command of a relic raid or something, you will find out if they are a moron/incompetent real quick...like when your force that is 2x larger gets owned by some dumbass elves.

I hope people would allow me a little leeway while I climb the ranks of Commanderism... Every good leader makes a few mistakes on their way to domination. :D

Indeed, few hundred people die here, few thousand there. "ahh it was my bad, I didnt mean to send them into the heart of enemy territory"

if you have enough CEPs, then you get access to commander chat rooms, special maps, and your uniform starts to change color gradually.

NC Blue-Gold
TR Black-Red
VS purple-teal

thats how you can tell if someoe has high CEPs

There is an interesting quote out there somewhere... I will paraphrase here:

Kill a few people, you are called a murderer. Kill a hundred, you are a monster. Kill thousands, you are a conquerer.

It goes something like that.

In real life, that is too true... :(

In PS:

"Kill a few people, you're a n00b. Kill a hundred people, you're a veteran. Kill the devs, and you're god-like." :D

I think as with most multiplayer games, if you want a more professionally orientated atomospher you need to join a clan. As most (jump on any server) players won't be very relyable.

To judge someone purely on their BEP would be unfair, without taking into account, how long they've been playing (as well as how long the games been out initially). You can't condem a guy whose JUST bought PlanetSide.
