We'll see about it. I downloaded a couple movies, and it looked pretty decent. I also downloaded the hero planner, and if I do get it I might make a Blaster with Electrical Blast and Electrical Manipulation, Super Speed, Teleportation, Fighting and Flight. Like I said tho, gonna have to see if the funds can support it first.

yeah, its really only $2 more than PSide per month, but these subscriptions add up. Not to mention, I always forget about the automatic witdrawal, and like a couple days before I get my paycheck I'll spend a bunch of money, so that I only have a few bucks left in my account, then the automatic withdrawal will go through, and I get a $30 fee for a negative balance. Happens WAY too often. Adding another subscription would really get me in trouble.

They do have a tiered fee system. If you buy 3 months I think it's like $40, and the monthly fee goes down from there.

I'm still debating. The end of beta event just about has me convinced (well, that and how pissed off I am at Planetside which should free up $13 a month). Basically I'm using my 3 day head start to jam through some levels and see if I have some fun at higher levels than I bothered achieving in beta. Made it to level 7 playing for a couple of hours yesterday, I'd like to make it to 11-12 by the time they shut down my headstart. I'm so torn, because I enjoy the game but there's just not enough to it to validate the monthly fee they're charging. I also couldn't give a rat's ass about the comic book, so having one delivered for 'free' holds no appeal to me. I'd rather they dump the comic and give me a $13 subscription.

The rumor is a villains expansion. I'm a bit wary of it, because everybody will switch to villains if it happens. I hope they go the EQ route and just make a separate server for PVP fans. Of course adding new villainous costume pieces is always cool.

:shrug: I hold myself to 1 mmorpg at a time and a $2 jump from PS doesn't bother me much. DAOC was only $10 a month but it's an older game and not balanced for PvP in my opinion. I personally am willing to pay a bit more because CoH does not lag *cough*PS*hack*, has beautiful graphics, massive customization, and is not a straight-up level grind (leveling is just a bi-product of having fun doing the missions). Those are my reasons.

Okay, found COH for 35 bucks on Ebay and I caved. Gravedigger is alive on the Freedom server. I created characters on a couple of other servers last night, but was bent that the name I had reserved for the Pinnacle server was taken somehow. Ah well, can't have it all I guess.

I might, but I'll be watching from the sidelines for a while to make sure it's worth it. The thing is, with World of Warcraft and The Matrix Online coming out this year, CoH will have to be exceptionally good if I'm going to subscribe to it, since I want to stick and focus on just one MMORPG. If CoH winds up being above average but not great, I'll hold off until WoW and MxO come out, since I have a more interest in those two games in the first place.

I swear this game brings out the ADD in me. My main character is just starting to get really cool, I'm enjoying going out in groups and doing the really tough missions (for my level, only 9) so what do I do last night? Create a scrapper and run him up to level 5 real quick. I probably could have gotten my main close to 11 in the time I spent on the new character, makes no sense at all.

I still love PS and all, but sometimes PS feels like work because you have to concentrate and aim and stuff. :)

When the Villain exp pack comes out, you can opt to go to the "dark side" and no longer be a hero from what I heard, so if you wanna be an awesome villain, you might wanna start being an awesome hero first. ;)
