Friday night my stepdad died. I don't care if I'm telling ppl I don't know, I really don't know what to do. I didn't even cry, and that made me feel bad.

I cried at my grandma's funeral and I've played FPSes since I was in second grade. Go to hell.

Recently, my great second uncle died. One of the nicest people I ever knew. You shouldn't have to cry to feel bad. The feeling is internal, not external. It could be that he wasn't that close, or it just hasn't set in yet. You don't have to feel bad for not expressing emotions.

sorry to pry but, Has he been ill for awhile? Did he knew he had a heart problem and it was possible for him to die soon? Or did he just all of a sudden out of the blue die? My one grandfather died due to heart problems. We had no idea he had it, he just had a heart attack and passed. To say the least I cried for days, About 10 years later my grandmother passed, but we knew she had health problems (Lung cancer) I had known about it and when she passed, I was sad but I didn't cry. I don't know if it was due to my age that I didn't cry for my grandmother or if it was just the fact that I knew she was dying.

I understand how you feel Wildeagle...My grandmother passed away this winter december 31, 2003. I watched her pass away and i didn't cry either, while i was standing around my sister, father, and aunt watching all of them cry...just because you didn't cry, doesn't mean you should feel bad. Crying is associated with death but not always....you say you cared for him, and i know you were sad, but it doesn't mean you had to cry. do not feel bad about not crying, just focus on the good times you spent with him, thats what counts.

you shouldn't feel bad for not crying. every person takes things differently. some people cry when they get the news, some don't, and some cry a few days or even weeks later.

I don't know about christians but I know **** sit 7 days after the death of a loved one and people come to visit. the family doesn't cry for seven days, in fact they sit with the guests and everyone just tells jokes to make them feel better.

crying is good if you're that kind of person, but it's definately not mandatory.

When my dog nearly died, she got hit by a car and was laying on the side of the road most likely unconscious (sp), I was just dumb fucked right there. Didn't know what the hell to do. The guy who hit her kindly stopped though, offered to pay for teatment (my dog got up and limped away back to the house scratched up like shit so it was 50/50 chance of her living). When i came called my mom, she ran out panicing and swearing at the guy who was most likely scared of her than the bill. That got me down cause i was just....blah.


It was my first....almost pet death....so yeah. (if you guys say its just a fucking pet, fuck you. You probly torcher squirels in your backyard)

Your family and close friends will always know that you are suffering too so never feel bad that you don't show it the way others do.
