5 reasons why Ps is beter than SWG???

me and my friend are having an argument on this so i need atleast 5 reasons why it is better.

ive never played either, i would download the demo but i need a new computer so im asking you what you think, i'll get the best resons and see what he can counter with star wars galaxies.

Planetside is a FPS wargame with some minor RPG elements.
SWG is a RPG with some very minor FPS elements.

You really can't compare them. They are completely different.

I'm tempted to say it's a different game, can't be compared, etc. S'what I usually say. Anyway:

1. You can log in and play with your friends even if you are level 5 and they are level 20.
2. You don't have to "Look for a group" if you don't want to.
3. No penalty for dying.
4. Vehicles are free and widely available.
5. You don't have to wander around in the boondocks fighting swamp rats for god knows how long to scrounge up enough credits to make minor upgrades to your shitty weapon.
6. It's not a life destroying timesink, for all of the above reasons.

What PS has over SWG is what it has over every MMORPG. Namely, that it doesn't require you to enslave yourself to your computer.

here's one. RPG games are cool and all, but whatever game you play, you WILL find yourself coming back to PS again and again.... It's just too addicting to leave forever :)

sure ones more FPS than RPG but he doesn't care, we've had these arguments before, like diablo or halo... i think

more FPS than the other? Planetside IS an FPS, get it straight, and if you are stupid enough to be trying to convince someone that one thing is better than the other without having tried either of them then I pity you.

you would not get an RPG fanatic to accept planetside, because ITS NOT AN RPG, it just has a few minor rpg elements, everything is available to you at any rank, having higher rank just means that you have more choices available to you with that character. Furthermore, it mostly skill based, the only hit and misses are those when people actually AIM the gun at somebody, SWG you just click on that monster and your avatar fires at it while you run around and you hit depending on your level/proficiency/enemy armor class, thats not FPS.

but MAN you are STUPID if you keep arguing an RPG against an FPS, he can do what he wants and you are a fucktard if you keep pressing the issue on somebody who doesnt care

1) Planetside is an FPS
2) Player-killing is very acceptible in Planetside (just not TKing)
3) Your stats dont determine your skill, only your ability to use the weapons
4) No tedious things that you have to do over and over and over... and over and over... and over...

ya, thats about as hard as comparing PlanetSide to EverQuest. Can't do it. I tried to get a friend to try Planetside. a good friend of mine who plays EQ with me. he's been playing EQ since Beta. he tried PS at my house for 30 min and said he didn't like it and it was boring! i couldn't believe he called PS boring compared to EQ!!!! i like EQ and all, but, anyone that has ever played EQ knows the downtime SUCKS. sometimes just putting a group togeather can take 30 min before anything even gets started. or what about not being able to do anything because your group is missing a key class like a cleric or a tank.
anywho, as everyone else and their mamma said, can't compare the 2. RPG'ers just can't dig PS (or at least alot of them from my experience).
oh, and btw-SWG sucks! tried to for 2 months. became a pistoleer. it has pretty graphics and i nice class system, but, over all it sucks. its the same old boring grind as everquest without as good of a community as everquest. well, they do have an good roleplaying community, but i couldn't get into that role playing crap, lol. :lol:
