Mine are interject completely random comment when I join, idle for 2-8 hours, interject another random comment, rinse, repeat.

I type brief comments
in rapid succession
like this.
It often pisses people off
and I apologize.
Old habits die hard.

I log in once every 3 months, see that no one is talking. I have a short conversation with one of the people that is not idle, which is almost always kind of silly. Then I leave.

I log on when I've run out of things to do on the internet.

I sit and watch for a minute, decide whether they're talking FPS's or if they're shooting the shit - then I leave if they're talking about games, and stay if they're being stupid ... and then, I just say things like, 'No, YOU'RE stupid' or ask about so-and-so's new puppy.
