What's Up TR?

So i log on Emerald (i think it was-the middle server :p ) about a week ago to use my n00b BR 4 TR. i get on, and TR don't own NOT ONE SINGLE FACILITY!. so i IA so i can get some xps cuz BR 4 sucks. i'm at a tower with a bunch of TR that SUCK! i mean, i went on the tower roof and a guy was shooting at a reaver with a punisher! the worst part was he was standing right next to a turret!!! every time i IA'd, TR were at another tower which we had no possible reason to defend and were getting PWN'd. OMG, i mean it was sad! i tried to play for awhile, but everywhere the TR went, they got pwned...i just left shaking my head. makes me want to use my TR and help you poor guys out. but, i get bad ping on that server living in UK and all.

Yup. I rarely play my NC character anymore.

I started a TR character on Emerald to help out with the population imbalance along with a lot of other long-standing NC players.

It just sucks that the main reason NC wins is because of numbers. Yes, Emerald NC also does have very good tactics, but most of the 4th empire fools don't even follow those tactics.

I guess I lost the sense of accomplishment you get when you feel like you've worked hard to win...but you really don't get that with 35%+ population.

I have a TR and NC character, one on Markov (NC) and one on Emerald (TR). I don't feel bad about switching since A) they're on different servers, and B) they're on different servers. And I agree with Writhe in that it sucks when you realize the only reason you won was because you had 3 times the enemy's numbers. I usually have more even matches on Markov, but Emerald I often find myself on either the overwhelming majority, or facing 3-1 odds against me. It sucks. :(

I wouldn't say that all of our vets have left. If anything, we have what could be the best Outfits in the game, i.e. The Dragonwolves, BWC, The Wolverines, etc... The problem, like has been said, is that our numbers are often a 25% or below, in addition to the fatc that we do have a lot of n00bs.

Well (SOL) Navy-K was 7 on the top 10 leaderboards for outfit points on emerald for awhile but experinced a massive burn out from 25 or so players (which makes up the majority of active players.) so now we've dropped down to 9th We are primarily Spec ops and cavern detail. when we can muster the numbers we do pretty well. otherwise wew are mediocre

Really? I wouldn't think thats possible against a massive NC zerg.

How to hold off zerg for longer than usual:

1.) Maximum defences, mines, spitfires, boomers, motion sensors

2.) Max's, medics, engys at back door, and all other entrances into base

3.) Camp

4.) Ambush

5.) Small sniper groups should be far away, harassing enemy soldiers as they attempt to enter the base

6.) A few more snipers should be harassing the main spawn point of enemy soldiers

7.) Infils should be attempting to locate and destroy closest/most used enemy ams

8.) Everyone should have plenty of ammo

I've run out of ammo in well infantry from time to time. I've run out of ammo in TR MAXs several times in each one.

All of our so called vets got bored and started other characters. I used to be dedicated and i must say...CEP is one of the hardest things to get as TR because all you can ever get CEP for is resecuring a hack. Tr is always on the defensive, that in addition to the fact that SAT's are in two days and AP tests are to follow are the reasons that i didnt renew my sdubscription. Plus, everyone who starts off as TR cant get used to the constant defense and no offense and ends up switching to a more favorable empire. Most of the time its the one with over 40% population on a server, not to mention any names :::cough:::Emerald NC:::cough

i can see it easily happen in a TR MAX. i can see being anchored down in a good spot and just laying down tons of surpressive fire. those things fire pretty damn fast!

On command? You mean command chat? If so, that's probably because we're quite small, and only have two CR5's. But pretty much all of the Emerald Terrans know uf us, we're a powerful force in ULTRA (powerful and ULTRA, sortof an oxymoron, I know), and we focus on spec ops. It's that simple.

I deleted my Terran on Emerald and made a VS, the whole TR empire is just awful. Lots of newbs, everyone uses the same loadout, and there are no good outfits. C22 doesnt suck, maybe one or two others, but almost all are worthless.

Us TR on Markov have no problem at all. Not too sure on Emerald, we seem to scrape by.

No, i mean command on ventrilo. All of those outfits I mentioned above excluding Unity are always on Ventrilo.

LOTD uses Ventrillo, is there some kind of Terran command ventrillo server? If so could someone PM it to me. It would probably be a good idea to get on one ventrillo server a LOTD has about 9 dedicated members all over 10000 outfit points. We are small and have only one cr5 and two cr4's (maybe more cr4's) but we do everything from spec ops to air strikes. We bring quite a few Experienced Br 20 terran air cavalry, infiltrators, and CE to the field.

Anyone remember 7th Legion back in the summer? Best. Outfit. Ever. I think we had over 15 CR 5's at one point (when CR 5 was hard to get), and I don't know how many BR 20's. But the main thing was our leader (Gammarkantis), and our officers (myself and others =P) who were able to coordinate massive ops. IMO no other outfit could ever be that good. Too bad Gamma left at the end of the summer :(.

i dunno. i've been playing my TR character quite a bit lately. I like it. I don't see much wrong with the TR other than the MAXes could use a minor buff. Thassaboutittho. The prowler should be faster or more heavily armored though. I'd prefer faster. I think that a tank that big should have a huge fucking engine. The prowler should haul ass.

Yeah our MAXs need some help but there's not much wrong with the Striker (lock-on bug excluded), Cycler or MCG. :)

I was playin my Tr while the pops were way outta wack, about 4 days into him, I realize NC are getting nothing but the doubleteam shaft, VS kept tryin to go for our A.S.S. and as such I am back to playin NC full-time.

TR do lose at maxs, but hell, all maxs need a buff up to the level of the scatmax. SM is off-the-wall-nuts-killspam-machine. Other AI should be able to be near what it can do in AI work. The synergey between NC max shield and Pshield is just too good. VS unimax is much better on average than NC unimax, but tr just have an inheirant problem imo.
Outside of maxs, empires are balenced across the board imo.

yes, well...I dont know why there are so many n00b TR that play on prime time, but whenever I play (12am-7am PST) the average player is experienced, and the empires are fairly even (especially considering NC cant hold its own at equal %'s in the morning because of the lack of zerg) seems like more of the TR "vets" come on after prime time, or mabye they just stand out more because they have a chance to shine..blah blah...ramble, Im sick I cant think I just lost my train of thought and am about to sneeze...fk

I don't think its in anyones place to just make broad generalizations about the skill of an empire. Saying that one empire has shitty cr5's is one thing, but just saying that an entire empire is noobs is just silly.
