Hmm, that reminds me of the shields in "Dune" , where if they are hit at a fast enough speed, they stop the blow, but slower ones go through. If that shit can stop bullets, wow.

Im sorry the article mentions testing with an arrow and THEN an bullet? Should it be the other way around. Last I checked arrows could punch through kevlar while bullets could not.

From what I understand kevlar can not take the cutting edge of an arrow. but it can take the impact of a bullet. I don't know how but it does.

The reason Arows go though and bullets do not is becaue the arrow cuts though it, and gets inbetween the fibers (a stab can easily go though kevlar) the bullet however has a larger impact area and gets stoped by the fibers

I think they banned the lasers instead, since the shields only went atomic when a laser struck an active shield.

I read about this armor somewhere else. If I remember correctly it's suppsoed to paired up with this gun.
