Meh, not harmful, just annoying. Every other 5 minutes my internet text size goes from medium to smallest. No, I'm not accidently hitting ctrl+mwheel. It just started happening two days ago, and it's really starting to annoy the fuck out of me.

Any suggestions? (Why do I have a feeling I won't get the help I'm looking for?)

There are a few things you can try.

1. Get adaware from www.lavasoftusa.com and scan your system for spy ware.
2. Update your anti-virus program and scan for viruses (you do run an anti-virus program don't you?)
3. Uninstal and reinstall I.E.

If none of that works. Go to www.mozilla.org and download the Mozilla or FireFox web browser. Either one is better than I.E. anyay.

2) Did it.
3) Have done it.

Hell, if you're gonna stick with IE, then stick with all the crap that is brings in.

Try reformating. If that doesn't work, then you'll just have to live with it :).

I'll live with it before I reformat. It hasn't done it in a full day now...it's kind of scaring me.

Told you I wouldn't get the help I needed!

Thanks anyway guys :groovy:

Would you like me to wave my magic wand of computer fixing voodoo and make your problems automagically disappear?

I told you to do everything that anybody would tell you to do about a problem such as the one you described (with as few details as you included). You're just too hard headed to do what was suggested. The help you need is there, you just won't do it.

Dude...I DID EVERYTHING THAT YOU SUGGESTED BEFORE YOU EVEN SUGGESTED IT! What do you mean I am to hard headed to not do it? No more details were needed. I suppose I could have told you that I'm using IE 6, but seriously. I refuse to reformat my computer, and I politely declined that suggestion, and I even THANKED each of you for trying to help. I don't know how much nicer I could have been...

Edit: Sorry for the rage issue, but I'm getting sick and tired of people telling me everything they hate about me, even when some of it is stuff I don't even do.

God people get along. though Firefox rocks if this continues to happen, it even brings your old IE bookmarks to it, and plugins are a snap to install

No, you didn't do everything that was suggested. Yes, you ran a spyware scanner, and an AV scan (either of which you could have done wrong, by not enabling or disabling some settings), and reinstalled IE. But, I also suggested that you switch to a different and by all accounts better brower. And I suggested that you reformat, both of which you refused to do. Sometimes that's the best solution to a software problem. Alternatively you could spend several hours trying to track down some unknown virus, piece of spyware or strange registry entry manually. Something that nobody can or would want to help you with over the internet. If it's too much hassle for you to reformat then I suggest you rethink your data backup habbits.

If you're going to ask for help then you should be willing to try ALL of the suggestions you recieve which could possibly rid you of the problem. If you're not, then don't complain about the problem, or make comments like "Told you I wouldn't get the help I needed!". Of course you won't get the help you need if you won't take the actions needed to solve the problem.

Anyhow, good luck solving the problem on your own.

Suggesting he change to a different browser to fix a problem like this is like suggesting someone play America's Army instead of PS because they are having a small glitch.

It's not very helpful.

Besides, some of us are perfectly happy with Microsoft products. I never have any problems and it's very familiar to me. So forgive us, please, if we don't want to "fight the man" and get some third party browser.

Ther is no ware near as big of a difference betwen AA and PS, nearly everything is the same, and better, faster load times ect.

I have no problem with IE and its not bad at all, i said the same things alot untill i finaly tried it. It was just offered as a solution he turned it down, thats fine with me i do not care it realy is personal prefference.

I am sorry that this got a bit out of hand and we didn't solve your problem Dscythe.
