Below are the questions being sent.

Q. We have heard very little about the types of weapons the MAX Armors will be using, can you elaborate on the weapon systems each use?

Q. Long ago (and to this day) there was a lot of discussion on how day/night cycles could effect the game. Is a day/night cycle still planned for PlanetSide?

Q. Can you give us a small overview of the types of certifications we will be seeing in game? Perhaps a few details? Will they be arranged in a skill tree or will we be able to select any cert at any time can we pick from any cert we want (with exceptions of, must have hacking before adv.hacking)

Q. Lag will be a huge issue in PlanetSide, is there any way you could elaborate on the systems you will have in place to diminish its effects?

Q. How customizable will your player be? In terms of armor, helmets, etc.

Q. Will looted/stolen weapons/vehicles be able to be kept after logging out?

Q. How does the game handle reloading? Is it clips or bullets?

Q. Will there be Player/Outfit ranking available?

Q. Are you able to fly and drive vehicles without certification in the VR training area?

Q. How long do you estimate it will be, before we start seeing some more Media about the game? ie, PR campaigns, Screenies, Movies, Interviews, etc.

**edit: To elaborate

Oh god... this game looks awesome. Just seeing these questions asked makes a thin trail of saliva drip down my chin. I may be placing too much faith in this game, but I don't thinks so. This game has been in development far too long (kinda like the Matrix sequels ;)) to be a disappointment. And every sliver of information I can get will only increase my drool output... So... Eventually I'll be swiming in my own drool. :D

Plus, all the questions look a-ok to me. Answers all the important ones I really wanted to know. Good job ignoring my lesser ones! :groovy:

Wasn't question 3 answered in the last interview? Didn't "SmokeJumper" outline these..... or maybe it was just some...

flame me back if I'm way off :)

As far as I know none of these questions are already known, the cert one is going more in depth to what we already know

I'm pretty sure that we know the answer to the 2nd to last one is "yes." Other than that, it gets the RF seal of approval ;D

good q's.

i think that question 5 and 7 could be a little more specifc.

for 5, i'm pretty sure we're mostly wondering about physical characteristics. (facial features, skin color) we already know some info about armor customizations (shoulder w/ logo, etc)

for 7, "clips or bullets" really doesn't convey the differences between the two imo.

Right, but it's a good question. Personally I hate the way the gun loads in BF1942. When I first got it I had been playing SOF2 a lot and I wasted a lot of ammo.

I'd fire off 4 or 5 rounds, reload and *poof* there went the other 20 Bullets in the clip.

I'd really hope they handle it like SOF2 where Ammo is based on the number of bullets you have, and not the number of clips.

Out of habit, I'd have to agree. I fire sporadically and reload all the time. In fact, I reload more often than I should most likely...

And I'd hate to have just 2 half-eaten clips in my backpack when a nice full load would be best. Hopefully they treat ammo like health and mana potions in Dungeon Siege. You only take what you need, but it still takes up the entire inventory space. So, you'd probably drop that one bullet (or take a shot and reload) as opposed to leave it there and have it take an entire inventory slot (however much space an ammo cartridge would take).

If I had to pay for the rounds I would care, but I don't so I'd rather do it the more "realistic" way... but then again this is supposed to be the future and maybe they have a way for it to "realiscally" do it the bullets way (you have to allow for artistic licence......

Is it too late to add another question?

How will the servers in Europe and other non-US areas be managed? Will you be able to move between them and will they be launched at the same time as the US servers?

please tell me you included the question I asked you to include...

What are Dave's wildest most erotic fantasies?

Who wouldn't want to know the fantasies of the guy developing planetside??

I have a question; we know planetyside is colonized, so will we only see base's oand outposts, opr might we see citys with say NPC's who are not packing? And like shops and stuff?

I prefer clip reload myself. Way more realistic and doesn't harm the game. Just remember you're not playing SoF2 and you'll be ok. :D

Hey guys a quick question. Do we build the bases our selves? Do we decied where the turrets go and the barbed wire fences? That would be hella cool kinda like empire earth, but in a fps. I use to love to build up these great defensive cities then watch helpless assault after helpless assault fall to my superior defense.

No NPCs and i'm guessing no base building.

Like they said in the question about money it takes too much time away from actual combat which is what they want to focus on. That and it would also require most memory/space.

Hamma

There is NO base building.. hehe
