Completely disjointed scenes and lack of continuity for the sake of cramming more monsters in. It wasnt hard to follow, but it sure sucked a whole lot.

Definite lack of the REAL Hellsing guy (read: The dual-handcannon slinging Arucard) makes the movie suck to <3ers of the Anime series, in addition to the movies TOTAL LACK of anything cool to shoot, save for a fully automatic crossbow, which is kinda cool, but nearly as pimp as dual .50 cal anti-undead explosive handcannons.

Final fight sucks the penis, and Kate Beckinsales family line MAKES NO SENSE.

Definately much better then the film, the crossbow was very cool, but compared to Arucard Lancaster Silver anti-Vampire .50 cal.
its an overkill. though i dunno how you can overkill already dead people...

So on my overall impression of the film is that i was alittle bit disappointment. But that's not to say i didn't enjoy it, the fight scenes were exciting, and i did like the idea of why Vampires, Werewolves and frankinsteins monster was in the same place and the little explainations of little myths such as why vampires have no reflections. The only other nagging thing was the stupid accents, Hugh kept his almost american like accent while everyone else had this vampire like accent and obviously the gadget, sidekick monk had an irritating public school educated English accent.

As for that, it was so painful watching Hugh and Kate trying to force each other and convince the audience that they have some sort of sexual chemistry which wasn't there at ALL
I would of prefer the went along with the mysterious background of Van Hellsing, though it was wonderful seeing Hugh sexy smile. I would of prefer him to of kept his mask on, and be this dark cold-blooded figure, no mushy stuff, just straight in and kill...kill..KILL!!

So my final verdict is that it makes a great home movie, watching with friends. A nice no brain, guns & fighting.

But don't expect a engrossing storyline and great character development that you really like or dislike.
