All the evidence that has been given can be argued easily. There's more than enough physical evidence left on the moon to prove it happened.
the moon conspiracy theorists are just idiots.
Someone from pol debate, find the thread from a couple months ago about the moon landing.

I look sed at theat sight an most of that stuff was realy streching it:
The thign about the flag not being in shadow, the reason is flags at not solid they let light though look at one yourself.
The reason no stars are visible is the same reason its harder to see stars in big cities, light polution the sun is VERY srong on the moon do to its negligible atmosphere.
The background of that picture were it fades out is do to the focus of a camera, it focuing one somthign close not somthign far waway to ovcourse far away things are goign to be blurry

You forget one important fact- humanity. Humans by nature cannot keep a secret. That is why they say "If more than one person knows a secret, it isn't."
You conspiracy crybabies are asking me to throw out everything about our government that I believe in- that they are arrogant, proud, pretentious braggarts. You are asking me to believe that thousands, if not tens of thousands, of people all know one secret that the rest of the world doesn't know. You are asking me to believe that amid all the lies and secrecy, that one human soul would not get greedy and say "Hey NASA, I spill if you don't cough up a gazillion dollars" (look at their budgets). You're asking me to believe that out of those thousands of people, that one honest soul among them does not exist. You're asking me to believe that thousands of people have kept a secret of this magnitude for so long and not ONE of them has ever sold out. After all the betrayals and traitors this country has gone through, after all the activism and political backstabbing and dirt-digging and muck-raking, that EVERY ONE of those people has toed the party line. You are asking me to believe that the country's heros of that time are liars and frauds. Neil Armstrong would kick your ass if you called him a liar. And I'd help.
That is so very atypical of government workers, that it's implausible, laughable and pathetic. Just as WAR OF THE WORLDS was entertainment, so was Capricorn One.
Get with the program. Vietnam is over, the government does not want to control your mind, the government does not control your mind. There is no closet in the Pentagon that leads to a secret laboratory filled with martians where Elvis and Jimi and Kurt rock out to old-school Duran Duran. Welcome to reality, leave your conspiracy wonks at the door.
Have a nice day.

I did a screengrab of his post and slapped it on a got milk picture. It's supposed to be the worst image edit ever. It's supposed to be shitty, since this post and the very idea of a faked moon landing is the epitome of shit.

Yeah I've seen it, but I never associated it with milk. I also do not associate chalk, paper, eggs, or picket fences with semen.
Well then, you need to try some of my semen. It tastes just like chocolate chip cookies. I promise.

with all the people involved in NASA, anyone who does budget or expense work in the government, plus congress and the senate, it would probably cost more to lie about a moon landing then to actually land on the moon.

One more thing... people talk about the how the flag is waving (and how its impossible since theres no wind on the moon)... it was waving because of the supporting bar at the top of it... To hold the flag out so that it was completely visible a supporting bar was required to go across the top... this bar would be swung out when the flag was opened up... the picture was taken just after the bar was raised, the raising of which caused the ripples in it...
Firefly
2004-05-09, 08:37 PM
There's an atmosphere on the moon, thus there might be wind. I'm sure that "reason" was made up by some asshole who never went to the moon. There are also such things as solar winds, so science has led me to believe. I feel fairly confident in presuming that a flag could wave on the moon, but then again... I've never been there.
JetRaiden
2004-05-09, 08:37 PM
yea, the waving is from the vibrations in the pole. the astronaut touched the pole just before it was in the shot.

Solar wind... i thouyght that was the UV rays pulled by gravity... and not wind as we know it on earth...

No wind, but inertia would cause the flag to "wave" sort of, even in space, but there's also gravity on the moon, so the flag would do that if it was turned. Because of the lack of atmosphere, vibrations would have little to impede them also.

I was going to say that I believed that people who think the moonlanding was faked are morons of the nth degree, for the reasons firefly outlined in his first post, but everyone beat me to it. It's not even worth addressing their specific arguments, though badastronomy did a fine job of that..

There's the Keppler belt or whatever it's called. And contrary to conspirator belief, it is not anywhere near enough to kill you. None of the people who have gone to the moon developed cancer. They even simulated how much radiation it was over a long period of time with various animals, they were fine.

That's great, but you're on Linux, so you just think you said it earlier. Milliseconds after you posted, you had to patch your kernels, delete some trees, and other stuff. After it took you all that time to do something you don't have to do on a Windows, your info posted.
But what about that video of the astronauts closing the iris on the window to make earth look smaller? The pentagon was just forced by congress to release it almost two years ago.
BTW the moon landing acually happened, I'm just throwing this fact out into the fray.
