As its slowly turning into Summer, its getting wicked hotter (at least in Michigan) 85 degrees today.

So, how do you normally beat the heat?

Since my computer, and everything but a fridge and a toilet is in my bedroom, I have allocated One(1) air-conditioning unit for my own use. yes, I AM a spoiled bitch. Why do you ask?

When your winters get to -20 degrees, talk to me about my skewed definitions of hot and cold.

DO NOT WEAR PANTS DURING THE SUMMER! WEAR ONLY SHORTS!

That is a lesson I have yet to learn. Not only that, but although it was 85 out today, it's been raining on and off a bit.

I refuse to wear anything other than t-shirts/jeans during all months.

Learn from the masters. I always love the breeze cooling my package.

I'm still that stubborn too, but when it gets to 85 out, you gotta do something.... if it was only a Saturday.... swimming.

This thread is about how to beat the heat, not crank it up... :brow:

Anyway, drinking smoothies is good. Ice cream is nice, but it's getting expensive as of late (due to vanilla and cocoa shortages). If it's really bad, taking a cold shower will make you feel better and fresher.

Staying inside and flippin on the AC is always the best option, however. Of course, I'm speaking from a part of the country where electricity is darn cheap, so maybe that's not as easily suggested elsewhere.

Being br0n in Michigan, I am resistant to cold.
Having lived in Florida for 11 years now, I am somewhat resistant to heat. But I still sweat like a pig.
I'm working on immunity to household chemicals.

Hmmm... I lived in Philly for 15 years... every year its bitter cold and sweltering hot... we can't adapt.

Recently its been very hot... I don't know exactly but its been mid-90s somethign it never reachs at this time of year. As for what I do... drink lots of Ice Cold Water, Sit in the Air Conditioning, and walk around the house in my boxers...

What flavor is blue? I've never been able to figure that out. I don't think my ass would like blue.

I live in PA, gets humid here. Shorts, T-Shirt, AC, lake/pool, Ice water mixed with powerade is good. I spend most of my time camping/fishing/hiking in the summer so a camal bak is very important for hydration.

I hate the heat. the heat sucks. i like the winter, so its hard for me to deal with it especially since i don't have any AC in my room up here in college nor down at my house...so i usually just stick myself in a cold shower to cool me down. a nice freezing cold shower.

Aye, it's raining here in Dearborn right now. Doesn't make the heat go away though, and only two of my classes have AC in the rooms, and only one actually uses it. Anyways, one can never predict Michigan weather.

Yeh, our math teacher let us go into the empty sped ed rooms because they have a/c. I think it's supposed to rain again today.

I live in CA but in the Hi-Desert, so humidity is a rarity...unless I visit people in the LA/Orange County areas. In the Winter, low's in the 20's-30's and Summer is 90's - 100's +. But not to worry...just throw the Swamp Cooler on which remarkabley cools the the house down a lot! Then I call up friends and relatives with central air cond. and laugh at them when they are paying $200+ for electricity costs and my bill will never break $50
