HFS, Valve plans to port over Half Life 1 and Counter Strike 1.6 to the Source engine and have it ship with Half Life 2. I downloaded the 700MB E3 2004 Video and It makes Counter Strike just like if not better than Battlefield Vietnam.

Is it the one on fileplanet (hl2_fulldemo_e32004.zip?) if so, waiting for download.... 109 mins left... then a 1hr 29mins download :(

It's 21 minutes from the game. I'm not downloading it simply because I don't want to spoil the game :)

i have one of the video's. beautifully detailed game. love how everything can be used. walls can blown apart and so forth. gonna be amazing when it comes out..

is it me? or did the graphics for the CS game not look as good as HL2's graphics?? None the less, still nice looking. Especially the water effects.

And forget CS. I can't wait to see what Day of Defeat will look like on this engine!

well they didnt really make counter stike for it. they ported it over so.. they're not using the full abilities of new textures and shit for it. ;)

and yes that was amazing. if thats what a little port looks like... OMG

that was the greatest video ever.....EVER!!!!

Part of me thinks Half Life 2 will come out but then another part says that that there is no Half Life 2. It's all one big hoax, they said it was coming out last year but it never did. Don't get me wrong I love the game already but I've lost faith in when/if it's coming out.

The textures are still being worked on. They are just doing this to show how easy it is to port the mods over.
