I was wondering if anyone knew anything about possible AI in Halo 2 multiplayer? Personally, I love to play multiplayer in Halo, and usually do it more than campaign, but I can't always get enough friends over for a good fight. I think adding bots into the multiplayer would make the game a lot more fun for people who can't always get the 16 player frag fest. One on one pistol fights do get old after a while.

Not sure about bots, but there's gonna be live.

No Multiplayer AI, I dont know if you guys got this Halo 2 tidbit but yesterday Gamespy talked to the Halo 2 Lead Multiplayer Project Coordinator and he said "Nobody Knew we had 16 Xboxs Hooked Up". Halo 2 will be 64 Player LAN and Most Likely 64 Player Xbox Live.

I'm working on it, it's hard to convince my parents to let me get a line up to my room.

It's not gonna be 64. It's going to be 16, maybe 24 max.

He had 16 xboxes, one for each person, but if you hook up four controllers to each one...

64 players.

Its impossible to host more then 24 people on Live. Bungie tried 32 people, and they couldent do it. They tried 24 people and they could but it was semi-laggy. Max online according to the FAQ is 16, and possibly 24. 64 would either have INSANE lag, or cost money because its a companys dedicated server.

AI in Multiplayer is bots, I honestly dont see why they shouldent include them. Bungie said in their faqs they were working on them, but they dont know if they'll be done...

EDIT- Not to mention, Halo attacts all kinds of idiots, assholes, fucktards, and kids. 16 people is bad enough on a microphone channel, 1 kid screaming in the mic is bad enough, 32 people or 64? No fucking way.

Personally I dont care if it has Bots in multiplayer. I just wish November 9 was already here. Only if there was time machies.

QUOTE: "Although the demo stations were set up for ten players - the game actually supports 16 - great news for LIVE, but even better - it supports 16 players for System Link too. Finally! Everyone gets his or her own screen, one way or another."
