I like all Metallica albums, where's that option?
_
I'm glad they slammed those bastards. After getting ripped off for years by their own record label (old-schoolers know what I mean), they've got a right to be pissed about being ripped off. I don't care if it's fifty cents, fifty bucks, fifty thousand. Anyone who's ever been screwed over financially should be able to identify. Anyway, what the fuck do you care what their stance is on things? Their beliefs shouldn't interfere with their music- you cross gray lines into "fanboi-ism" when you allow that to become an issue. Case in point- Rage Against the Machine. Some of the things their frontman says really irritate the shit out of me. Some of the things their band did irritates the shit out of me- and then they go and cry when they get arrested for it. THAT irritates the shit out of me. But I like most of their music.

S&M, the orchestra just adds so much power to the music.

I was only allowed 10 slots, hence why that option is not there and why I condensed Load and Re-Load together.

S&M hands down, as it takes all the great Metallica songs, and adds the Symphony and it's power to the music. Excluding S&M probably a tie between Load and the Black Album. The Black Album was the pinnacle of good 80s metal imo (Even if it was post-80s released) and Load is their best CD in the post-80s era. (Hero of the Day is easily one of their best songs ever imo)

wrong st. anger was good. I probally liked it before him. -5million OMA points for frag.
I love all thier albums, but I'd have to choose master of puppets. every song rocks hard on there from Master, to sanatarium, batter, damage inc and my all time favorite song Orion.
Metallica pwns. end of story.

Every band changes their style along the way to keep up with the times, this is pretty evident through all the Metallica albums and through other bands such as In Flames. Unfortunately, I, and many others do not like the new Metallica sound, don't get me wrong, I like change, I like it when a band adapts, just not the new Metallica sound.
S&M is pure audio sex though. (or should I say pure audio bondage? ;))

Ummm.....I said disregard this thread if you don't like Metallica. I'm sure there are those who just don't like thier music (probally more of the "pop" inclined) and those who are just mad about the whole napster debacle....
...as for St. Anger, if you liked it, I think you will like a lot of thier older stuff (Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, etc.). I would have liked this album a whole lot better if they weren't "experimenting" and just kept to thier own sound. But, I agree with Frag that bands do change in order to keep up with the times, they have to, otherwise (see Motley Crue....yes thats a very bad example, Motley Crue is not even worthy to hold the balls of Lars or Hetfield). Be interesting to see the next direction they take.
And yes S&M is just PURE AUDIO BONDAGE SEX!

The point was i didnt like the black album and gave it away. IE i found the album and most of there music boring now and have for some time. The rest was me kidding. Besides the fact those are musicians i like more. I listened to them for some time. Thats why i had the cd. I meant that as sortof the symbol of how i feel about them as a whole now. Take this whole thing from the perspective of someone who liked them like you do but now i dont have a favorite album because i no longer like them(have a taste for them).

You have to respect Rage for standing up for what they believe in, even if they took it to extremes at time. I agree with some of their points myself.
And I like And Justice for All myself.

You have to admire Osama bin Laden for standing up for what he believes in, even if he takes it to extremes at times.

You had to admire Adolf Hitler for standing up for what he believes in, even if he takes it to extremes at times.
Fixed :)
Disclaimer - This is a JOKE, therefore, don't get all "OMG HITLER WAS BAAD" ok? He was mad, he was crazy, but he stuck to his ideals, and made Germany a very powerful country because of that (and we wouldn't have Volkswagen Beetles without him!).

Well... actually... it is perfectly legal providing you have a proper license to have it on your computer. I forget the name of it now.
(Which is extremely annoying as you cannot copy it to another PC and play it on that because the license is issued on a per song, per system basis).
