So are titles, avatars, sigs, etc. going to be the same sizes/have the same features or upgraded to Contributor status?

Also, now that we don't need money anymore, will Political Debate be open too?

I just wanted to comment on this whole issue before I hit the bed, tired as hell and I have a busy day tomorrow.

I have recieved offers from other networks in the past to host PSU and pick up our costs. These networks however required that we change almost everything about PSU and what we have created. This is something I was not willing to do.

Last week MMOGHell approached me with an offer to host PSU, we worked through this offer and finally setteled on what we have now. This allows us to remain as PlanetSide universe, the site you have known for the past 1.5 years. It allows us to remain hosted where we are now, on our existing servers and ISP. This means that we dont have to worry about money anymore, put yourself in my shoes and then look at the big picture. You would have done exactly as I have for this. Those of you who have donated in the past several months do not fear, your money is still around and it will be used to upgrade psu's existing servers to support more traffic. Right now the servers are home built jobs and they are pieces of crap.

So now you understand why I want a new layout, I want to fit in these adverts seemlessly so that they look like they are part of this page. I also ask that you offer MMOG hell some respect, they have brought allot to the table and I look forward to working with them.

Funny how the 'terrorists' are brown-skinned in those Flash banners.

Wouldn't it be better to accept that Sony is trying to eliminate PlanetSide by making it unavailable, failing to support it, etc.?

I think Sony has proven that they want nothing more to do with PlanetSide.

This is a good thing. Anyone who has been admin for a large community site that also offers downloads can appreciate how astronomical the costs can get. PSU isn't particularly large, but the costs are still significant and have to be paid for by someone. Think about it, no more concerns about PSU closing, the actual value of the website is increased thanks to the low operational costs and Hamma will now be more relaxed knowing that PSU has a safe future. He will now be a more effective and happier admin, with triple the bannings we have come to expect and twice the smile!

I just wanted to say hello to the PSU Fan base.

I am Kylian - the Network Manager for MMHell.com

I just wanted to reassure the community that PSU is going nowhere, nor is it going to change. It would not benefit me to have PSU join me, just to change the name and have it lose all identity.

We added a couple ads to the site - they may be a lil eye sores - but they do pay the bills. Now as PSU grows and funds become that much greater, we will actually start removing those ads. Not anytime soon, but sooner or later you can probably expect less ads, or at least less intrusive.

This was a great move for PSU, and a great move for MMHell.com I hope the community can learn to see that.

Hamma and his great team can now stop focusing all their time in Fund Raising - and can start focusing on expansion and making PSU even that much better. This would be a perfect time in my mind, to start asking Hamma and his team for certain features on PSU that you would like to see, that they never had time to implement in the past.

Maybe more Webcast servers - or a Tactics Page (hint, hint :D )

I look forward to seeing you all in the forums and IRC.

Site's slower than a fat man in maple syrup on a cold January day. Took me like 2 minutes to get here to post this. Everywhere else is fine. Banner quick loads, bars load, stops............................................. ............ads load. Something to do with the ad loading is slowing it down. Not bitching, just trying to help point it out.
