8th grade promo was this morning. Saw the girl I liked one last time. I didn't even say 'goodbye'. The two sides of my brain are in conflict with me, both of them. The left side, logic side, digs knives into all of my flaws. That I'm not a great athlete, I'm not cool enough, I'm not the best looking guy, etc. My right side says I should have done something over the year, stood up. Hard to take initiative when you're mocking yourself.

But yeah, it's done. I'm out of that hellhole at last. I go to T-West (local white trash preppy school), then I'll see if I can transfer over to T-High (where all of my friends are, the good school.) Then there's HP (Where a few kids go, including the girl and another good friend of mine), which I'll never see any of them again.

It's bad times over here in Ducksville.

Kill your family, kill your friends, then kill yourself

J/K, don't worry about it, you'll be fine, if you wanna go to the other school, say so.

Then kill yourself, family, and friends. :D

Roflroflrofl. I'm feeling better by now. I've been messing with the Russian at Pro-American.com/forums. If you have even the slightest interest in debating news, politics, military technology, whatever, it's a good site.

Well 9th Grade is "High School" here for us so that means collages are looking at you now so make sure that you do your work and get good grades.

Don't fuck with people there who are smaller/younger than you, even if they're being jackasses. Most of them have an older brother.

I speak from experience.

Hey Duck, I'm sorry it happened and you feel bad about it, but don't worry about it... your chances of finding a kick-ass woman with whom you're going to have a great relationship with only increase as you get older. Especially since you're a man!

Good luck!

I agree with Dhark. I was the big brother  (A senior beat up my little brother who was a freshman Me being a senior and a defensive lineman beat the shit out of him) Anyway congrats about going from 8th to 9th it's a big step.

EDIT: But when it comes to girls don't worry you will find one thats perfect for you may not be in highschool. But eventually you will find one.

im also moving up to highschool next year

theres 2 things i want to focus on, sports, and grades, but mostly grades

now the problem with this is that im going into honors everything except english, which im going to work hard to move up to next year

my town, has the second best public school system in massachusetts, so they give lots of hw, and the classes are hard, AP classes are at a college level

now i want to do really good, i know i can, but i dont quite want to put all that effort in, and I want to have fun playing games and meeting other people in clans etc, but school is going to make all this so much harder, or so I think, so how can I pull off what im aspiring for without sitting in front of books for the next 4 years? can this even be done?

West and High have about the same value in terms of education per class. But High has more classes. West has a better sports program, but nobody cares except the people in sports. The folks at West are preppy white trash. The guys at high are good folks. West is a little bit closer, though.

High is a better school, and as soon as I get a car, I can go just fine.

Feel free to goof off in 11th and 12th, but you need to work your ass off in 9th and 10th grade since your GPA is more dependant on those years.

hhhmmm you should probauly do what one of my friends did. Buy a couple of military smoke grenades, and use them to assault the school. Then get expelled and go to this school for expelled kids with the traumatized teacher that in the middle of a sentence yells "MOMMY THERE WERE NO BABIES EEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"

GL duck, at first it may seem hard to do, it did at first to me, but you get used to it. (that is of course your campus is about a .5 mile long and have to go from one side to the other like i did)

so how can I pull off what im aspiring for without sitting in front of books for the next 4 years? can this even be done?

As a graduating senior, I can assure you that it can be done. The key is to do a lot of extra-cirriculars. Not only do they look great on college resumes, it's an easy way to meet and enjoy time with people while doing something for yourself and the school. That said, the biggest mistake you can make is taking on too much academically. I know people who would take an average of three or four AP's per year, which is insane, especially at a college prep school like ours. Students who did that either broke down or became socially withdrawn.

So take on a course-load that's managable, but permits you to do the extra-cirriculars you want. For example, I took an average of around two AP's a year in high-school, giving me a great portfolio of classes with a high GPA. Yet I still had time to co-captain my school's Model UN team and serve as editor-in-chief and columnist of the school newspaper. And though I was constantly busy, Friday's were always open to spend time with the girlfriend, and Saturday's were almost always free for party purposes. Sorry if it seems like I'm bragging, because I'm not. I'm just saying that it's quite possible to do well in high school while having a great time.

The real trick, however, is to do whatever you do with a lot of enthusiasm. When you work, work hard. When you play, play hard. Bored high school students are usually the ones who don't have a good time.

hmm, that sounds good

well my weekends in the spring and fall are gone anyway

i do windsurfing, and Im at a level where I compete. I spend every weekend windsurfing so I can get better. I do formula racing and freestyle and I have 5 competitions this year. I'm on the US Junior Freestyle and Race team. I'm going to belgium and canada for racing with the US team.

Basically I'm really serious about this, it's fun for me, I've been windsurfing since I was six. Do you think this will help for college?
