can you start a new account without buying the software?

I know with the old 7 day trial they gave you an account key, but I didnt know if you had to buy the software to activate it for more then a week. Anyone know?? I think the 7 day trial is over, though, but can I?

Yeah you have to purchase the software to carry on playing.

Either that, or I think you can purchase it online as a download, with the key you need to confirm your registered account.

Is the free XP download no longer available? For a while at least XP users could download the client for free and just pay subscription fees. Check Microsoft's website, worth a try at least.
