yea as a matter of fact its gonna require a whole new flux capacitor considering it never came with one. least it doesnt say so in the manual.

Not wanting to change subjects, but has anyone ever seen a Delorean on the road before? I mean i never seen one. Great movie too.

My mom had a friend who had that car (now switching back on topic), back in '94. Pretty sick untill she put the bra on it (that black thing people put on the hoods of their cars to prevent scratches or sumtin).

Nice,a Firebird is my Dream car,out of all the realy expensive cars Firebirds are the coolest to me.I want one but since im poor and couldnt afford the insurance....EVAR!!..... im looking at Ford Focus(2004-2005 models) Toyota Corrola and Echo,I need something 4 door, sweet and under 20k. Anyone got suggestions on cars or anything? It'd be my first car(since im only 16) so nothing two door cause insurance would be out of this world

I drive a Saturn. My insurance is cheap, the whole dent-resistant panel thing is sweet, and I think they're a pretty good car to be your first. Takes a lot of abuse, and I'd know since it was not only my first car, but my little sister's first car as well (and she is not the type to take care of anything).

Worth exploring, I think! (http://www.saturn.com/saturn/showroom/ion/sedan/index.jsp?nav=100)

You might want to wait for the new Ford Branco that's coming out, looks like the old one because they kept the boxy shape. It has NOS standard and halogen lights, and it will be 16K.

Ok time for some tips. Make sure you take it to a mechanic before you buy it for a look at it. I've saved people from making the costly mistake of buying a car that looks nice but has serious problems coming towards it (transmission problems) that is one problem I've run into the most with Firebirds it's the tranny. 2. If it was an old person driving it. don't go out and floor the car. first drive like you would drive your dad's car that if he sees a blotch on it he is gonna kill you. Cars owned by older people tend to be drivin slowly and nicely so if you go out and pound the gas the car could react badly to it. (Blown Headgaskets *shudders*) Not likely but possible. Well thats all I can really think of. I'll post more later if I remember anything else you should look out for.

I can't find it, but it was at the auto show and they had it on Fresh Gear on what used to be Techtv. I don't think they have an achive since they merged with G4, I will keep looking though. Ford plans to have small amounts of NOS in all their models by 2010 btw.

Doubtful, there isn't really any civilian use for No2. Not to mention the stuff is dangerous as fuck when you have some 16 year old asshat who just got his first car.

Kam
2004-05-30, 02:30 AM
It's not like in the movies where it boosts you 8 billion mph, it just gives a 10 mph boost or so and it is electronically limited.

They actually had this at the auto show and it's planned for summer 2005. They had one here at the Kansas City auto show so I know it's real.

Dharkbayne
2004-05-30, 02:31 AM
Yeah, like I said, no point for civilian use, there isn't really any time where you would need to speed up a bunch faster than normal if you're just driving down the street. Maybe if there were ninjas in jeeps chasing you, but that doesn't happen that often.

OneManArmy
2004-05-30, 02:45 AM
dont worry jake I looked it over and had a mechanic look it over (the inspection sticker was 2 years old. was sitting in a garage for about a year or so.) also had him replace oil and any fluids that might need it. and haven't really been driving crazy (ok once or twice... gotta get this girl back on her feet;))

if anyone wants to tell me how the heck to get this damn digi camera to download to my pc thatd be nice. I dont have any software for it. I found it laying around in a closet. its a samsung digimax 130...

Dharkbayne
2004-05-30, 04:40 AM
You were talking about "NOS", when it's not called "NOS", it's called Nitrous Oxide, N02, one part nitrogen, 2 parts oxygen (I think).

NoS is a brand/company. N02 is a chemical.

Anyways, back on subject : Kam is full of shit, Ford is not putting nitrous oxide in all their trucks in 2010, and NO, I am NOT going to e-mail anyone there asking if they are, because I'm not a gullible fuck like your 4th grade friends.

1. Triple post.

2. Stop trying to start arguments, you're losing every one.

3. Yes, I live in the UK, I do not purchase goods with dollars or cents, I use pounds and pence. I have no change to buy any car magazines, nor do I want to buy any car magazines. If you can PROVE this car exists (because I am NOT making a phone call to Ford USA pretending to be a journalist enquiring about future trucks with nitrous oxide, if it was Ford UK I would) then I would gladly end this. Unfortunately, seeing as you don't have any proof other than "someone told me, I know, I saw this mysterious invisible truck at a motor show" then I shall continue to mock and ridicule you.

Edit - 4. You never did explain why I'm in your kill list. If you want to fly over to London to kill me, very well, I'd like to see you try.

Kam
2004-05-30, 05:39 AM
Wow you just contradicted yourself. WTF do you mean I have no proof? I just gave you some. And btw I never started either of the two arguements that your being Dharkbaynes bitch in so don't put it on me. It's your fault you live in Britian, don't yell at me.

I never contradicted myself at all, you have no proof about this truck at all. As previously stated, if you provide a link to said vehicle and specifications of said vehicle, then I will gladly shut up, but seeing as you haven't, then I shall not.

You still haven't answered why I am in your kill list either, stop changing the subject to meaningless crap and answer my question.

Pontiac Firebird mmmm?
I have a little story about that.
My dad bought one when i was kid, he loved it. unfortunately, he loved it so much when he taking out his sister (my Auntie) one night, he ended up ploughing it into the rear-end of a double decker bus. He was going at a reasonable speed (he never told me how fast he was going) as the whole front of the car (engine bit and the lower part of the windscreen) went UNDER it. They had to lift the bus to get the door open, lucky they were ok.

Edit: Frag. Don't argue with him. He isn't worth it.

kam shut up youre a moron. I met one of the lead designers of ford (responsible for new mustang and thunderbird) and he never mentioned anything like that. if this were true it would be all over the automotive press, which it isnt. like dhark said, nitrous is very dangerous and expensive, and if a crazy 16-17 year old gets their hands on it it could be disasterous. especcially since ford is trying to lower emissions in their cars these days.
