As the Americans here shoudl know monday is memorial day, the day that marks the beginning of major summer travel... what are your plans for this holiday weekend?

I'm going down the shore for a weekend of rest and relaxation before my exams start in school... Only bad thing is that there is no computer down there (...I'll be out of the loop for three days... and I won't be able to talk to my Xmodum :( ) but I think I'll survive... maybe i can start doing some of my summer reading...

Fucking a right. I've discovered the joys of RB6 on Xbox live. Holy shit that's fun. I'm probably gonna buy a car too, but I'm gonna sit back and drink lots and lots of beer either way. Damn I love this country.

But we didn't get a holiday on "Victoria Day" so it doesn't count.

But come to think of it, we do have a bank holiday this monday, so that's probably Memorial Day, so it's on the 31st, it's suppose to be for last thursday, but then people would have to go back to work on friday.
So in the sensible tradition of Britishness, we moved the holiday to the monday. Why waste a good holiday and ruin the end of a week or have it on the weekend?

My memorial day weekend consists of watching american border traffic piling into canada for some cheap long weekend shopping. It's practically an invasion.
