I'm getting it so I can play Thief 3, which I bought and found out it won't work with 98. So after I've managed to bore myself with Thief, what next? Should I go for BF1942?

Yeah, get the bfv 3 pack with both expansions, and then get BFV.

The Jelly Bean theme is a pain, but you can get rid of it if you know what to do... what special add on are you talking about?

XP is awesome.
If you hate it, chances are it's because your an idiot. You'd probly commit suicide if you had to work with DOS.

You can turn off new program notification.
Hit the start program right click somewhere thats not a shortcut or toolbar, hit properties > immediatly hit "customize" > Hit "Advanced" at the top, now uncheck the Highlight new programs and your done.
And you can customize themes, you just need a little computer knowledge, which im doubting you have :p
what the hell is wrong with your net speed? your OS has nothing to do with that anyways.

I respect Linux users, until they go on into the anti-Windows banter, i.e. "Open source Roxxors", "G-g-g-g-g UNIT", "Linux makes your pee pee bigger" (it's a rough translation of what they tell me). At which point I mention to them that XP set up my network within 5 seconds.
Linux takes you longer to do what Windows does automatically. If it makes you feel better, fine. But your pen0r isn't larger.

OH SHOOSH, im tired of people saying DOS is so hard, it isnt, i was using DOS when i was 8 to play Command and Conquor on my 486 back in the day, though playing games wasnt the only thing i did on it, it wasnt that hard, installing or deleting.
